Converting - Any High Elf Ideas?

Post subject: Any High Elf Ideas?
I'm winding down on my HE team and I'm one player shy from 16. I already have 2 conversions (PW from a HE Hero and a LW made from a Korhil). Anyone have any other suggestions for an easy conversion? I prefer keeping the model 80% metal, so as little plastics as possible

Mmm... There's the High Elf hero with two daggers from warhammer quest... I believe he's still available as a champion in a High Elf Command blister. And there's the wizard who makes the Metallica sign which can easily be converted to a birdy!

And there's bound to be a High Elf Casualty somewhere in the Mail Order archives which can be used to represent your whole team - they're elves after all Wink

Actually, he was my first conversion. I chopped his hands off and replaced them with the hands from a HE thrower. Makes a perfect throwing stance!

There's one of the new HE Reaper Bolt Thrower crew who looks great for use as a Line-Elf - he's shading his eyes and looking convincingly girly so as to be the perfect High Elf Mr. Green

It's not just High Elves and we don't all hate them. They're good for some things. Making shoes for example. Elves don't make the shoes, that'd be racist. I mean shoes made out of elves, very supple and comfy.

Shoe making Elves. Sheesh. Laughing

Naaaah. Elves are great! I love them! You can cook them, boil them, stew 'm in a pot, bake 'm in the oven, eat them while they're hot! Eat them with a sugar-frosting or with a crispy cheesy coat, with mushroom sauce or with mayonaise... There's just SO much you can do with our pointy-eared food supply! If only they didn't stink funny they'd be the perfect pet too! Razz

Oh, come on guys, there's practically no meat on an elf, that bit of meat that is there is way to tough to chew through, and those annoying thin, light bones always get stuck between your teeth!!!

Minotaurs on the other hand have some really nice, tender, red meat...
You just need to kill them before you can eat it...

Red wine? On an Elf? What a waste of alcohol! Just dip him in the mayonnaise, and to get that extra Dutch feeling, pour some ketchup, sate sauce and sliced raw onions over it as well. Bon appetit!
(By the way, fried elf rings with garlic sauce are also tops!)

Okay, let's make a deal then: you kill the minotaur and I eat it (after playing tennis for three hours I tend to get hungry...)

We could also try to eat a squig or an orc, of course. They must have quite some meat on them...

I prefer Halflings with a little bar-b-que sauce but the team Doc says I need to cut back because they're high in cholesterol.

I'd prefer eating raw Redfangs, preferably alive and screaming in agony Twisted Evil

And the trick with Halflings is to roast them over a good fire. That way most of the fat will drip and the cholestorol will vaporize!

Deep fry an elf in batter, and serve with a portion of chips, drenched in vinegar, and covered in tomato ketchup or HP sauce.

Uuummmmm!! Lovely.

Yeah! I know, I had breakfast at Bugman's (and dinner as well) and it was the Worst English Breakfast Ever Mr. Green

By the way, there is a VERY good (and cheap!) little restaurant in London, somewhere near Trafalquar Square - Best British Dinner I ever ate (apart from Scottish dinners that is!)

Martijn (who knows there's a lovely tasty lahmacun-restaurant at 5 minutes walking from the Hagia Sophia, and Naples has some of the best pizza stands in the universe, and don't forget the yummy gelati you can get in a gallery near Turino's Town Square - travelling rules! Rolling Eyes )
