Hello all,

I've just got back from the Blood Bowl GT in Nottingham, ans some of the players there had magnets on the bases. I was woundering if any of you have done anything with magnets. And if so what type of magnets you use.

Thanks BD123

Impact sells sets of magnets for the bases. If you were to order magnets from another source you would be looking for "rare earth" magnets, and they come in various sizes/strengths.

I use them for the bases primarily, but have also found uses for them in swapping mutations on chaos players as well as for scorbeoards on my stadiums, etc. etc. I love the magnets and am alwways looking for new ways to utilize them!

How many magnets do you get in each pack for impact? The website isn't very clear.

The quantity is right after the title.

Base Magnets 0.25" (75) means you get 75 0.25" diameter magnets.

The ones normally used for bases are the 0.25" type.

0.125" are normally used for arm or head swaps on Big Guys.

0.0625" would be the size you'd look at to do arm or head swaps on normal sized figures.

We sell polarized balls as well to work with the magnets.

I use the magnets and felt base covers from Impact on all my teams now. I had them on my Chaos team at the GT this weekend. Seriously recommend them. They make the miniatures look good and the felt moves nicely on the pitch (you won't have realised how scratchy non felted miniatures feel until you use a team with felt!).

And the ball stickng to the base makes life soooo much easier than trying to balance it on what space is left around the model.

I'm getting a good smile from the number of Impact! products that made it to the GT this year. Magnet bases, polarized balls, felt basing, slater's numbering, attache cases, and team carrying cases.

I'm glad we've been able to invest in so many side projects that while not immediately visible are big aids to the BB community.
