Boudica Bowl will be using the Competitive Rules Pack, as used by standard at all NAF tournaments. We are aware of the plans for an upcoming new release of the game and will communicate any rule changes ahead of the tournament, but imagine we will be using CRP as is currently played. All 24 teams, including Slann, Chaos Pact and Underworld, can be used.
Each coach will get 1,100,000 gold pieces maximum to spend on their team.
All inducements are allowed, except for mercenaries, special play cards and wizards. Star players are allowed, but you must have 11 rostered players before you can purchase them. If 2 coaches both hire the same star, he will play for both teams.
New for this year: coaches may not buy fan factor. Instead, coaches will be given free FF based on two criteria.
Early payment: paying for the event more than 2 months in advance gives +3 FF. Paying 1-2 months in advance gives +2. Paying before the day but less than 1 month gives +1.
Painted minis: a fully painted team will give +2 FF. A part-painted team will give +1. An unpainted, or primed only, will get 0 FF.
So every team will have between 0 and 5 FF. Organisers’ decisions will be final.
Your team may feature non-GW miniatures but they must represent the race and position which is easily recognisable. Teams must be based, numbered and should feature at least three different colours.
This is a resurrection tournament, so there are no SPPs, and injuries do not carry over between rounds. No winnings are used and fan factor will also not change between games. Undead and Necromantic teams may raise a zombie for the current game, but will not get to keep them for the rest of the tournament.
Each round will last approximately 2 hours. We will give out regular time reminders in the hope we don’t overrun.
Skills
The Boudica Skills Package is tiered the same as last year; each team will have a number of normal skills to give out before game 1 and more before game 4. These skills must be chosen before registration and marked on the roster with Day 1/Day 2 as appropriate. No stat increases are allowed.
Tier 0: Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardman, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood elf
5 skills on day 1, 2 skills on day 2
Tier 1: Chaos Pact, Elf, High Elf, Human, Necro, Slann
6 skills on day 1, 2 skills on day 2
Tier 2: Chaos, Khemri, Nurgle, Underworld, Vampire
6 skills on day 1, 3 skills on day 2
Tier 3: Goblin, Halfling, Ogre
7 skills on day 1, 3 skills on day 2
For the day 1 skills, each team is allowed to trade 2 normal skills for a double skill (up to 2 double skills per team) to add to a player of their choice.
For the day 2 skills, each team will be allowed to trade 2 normal skill allocations to stack a normal skill to a player who has already received a normal skill (not one who has received a double skill).
Scoring
Boudica Bowl will be a six game tournament. The first round will be a random draw, then rounds two to six will be drawn Swiss style.
Points are scored as follows:
10 points for a win
5 points for a draw
1 point for a loss
In addition, teams can gain up to 6 bonus points per match:
1 per touchdown, to a maximum of 3
1 per casualty, to a maximum of 3.
In case of concessions, unless its a valid concession as per CRP (i.e. the coach could not field more than 2 players at the start of a drive) the conceding coach will get -10 points (with no bonus points from the game) and will be unable to claim any trophies at the end of the tournament.
For CAS bonus points and the Most CAS trophy casualties from a Block, Foul, Secret Weapon, Crowd Push or Stab count.
For determining prizes, the following tiebreakers will be used (in order):
Strength of schedule (opponents’ scores)
Net (combined) TDs & Cas
Closest to the bull (3 darts)
Coin toss |
