Post subject: Ideas on creating Warpstone....
I'm looking at any suggestions for creating a Warpstone look for the trohies to my upcoming tourney.

I have looked into plexiglass, but that becomes costly...

Any other ideas?

Warpstone look...humm...if you feel you can live without a "translucid" look you could get away with it just with regular plasticard (or even cardboard) to shape the warpstone, and get away with it, with a quite easy paint job.

I've seen a few "warpstone counters" back in the days of mordheim (...) with a black undercoat, a drybrush of "dark angels" green (or any sort of very dark green), and a few coats of lighter green (going lighter with every coat till its white or almost white) in the vertexes of the of the warpstone geometric shape.
You can even do a few sparkles (if the stone is not too small) the same way of the vertexes.

Hope it helped.
A.

Like others have suggested, I used gem shaped beads, filled the holes with a little green stuff, then painted with a mix of Chaos Black and Dark Angels Green then highlighted up on the crystal edges with Gloss Varnish to finish and give it a reflective sheen.

You could also look at using the translucent plastic sprue bits that GW makes templates/necron stuff out of.

I have a bunch if you need it.

When thinking of warpstone I really think of shards or rough gems rather then the man made shapes.

I think I would personally order a few green glass beads and pound and grind them until I´m happy with a few of the shapes that come out
