just got a hold of some new figures and i want to give 'em some nice bases instead of just my usual brown paint or sand. i saw stone-patterned bases once and i'd be interested in trying that out. any suggestions?

and of course any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Stone patterned bases are made by cutting up small square pieces of thin plasticard and gluing them on a base. You can also buy plasticard with a stone or cobble pattern in most hobby shops. But remember that Ogres bruise easily, so you'd better give 'm fluffy bases... Wink

I made some of these bases for single models. What I did was just flattening a piece of greenstuff by pressing it onto the table, using my fingers, so it wasn't flattened too evenly. Then, using a wet knife I cut off pieces to use; not necessarily squares/rectangles. These I pushed onto the base, again with my fingers. Then with help of my knife I would make the edges straight and relatively sharp; and with my finger I would flatten the top of the flagstone.
It is a LOT of work, though, doing it this way, but the good side is that you can make irregularly shaped and relief-ed flagstones...

Sorry, can't post a pic...

10 balls? That might come in handy for a naked Slaanesh champion Wink
Does he also plan on sculpting a sprue with 10 tits on it?

Martijn
