Hi everybody,
I´m sure someone can help me with this tricky question:
A Player with “Mighty Blowâ€, “Piling on†and “Claws†blocks an opponent (let´s say AV8 ) and knocks him down. The result of the AV roll is a 5. Mighty blow makes no difference so it´s not used on this first AV roll. Now the blocking player re-rolls the AV roll because of his skill “Pilling onâ€. The second AV roll is a 7. Can “Mighty Blow†now be used because (in combination with “Clawsâ€) it makes a difference, although it was not used during the first AV roll?
The CPR states (page 23) that the use of skills is not mandatory, which would allow it to ignore “Mighty blow†for the first AV roll. And it also states that skills are generally used after the dice roll, which would allow “Mighty Blow†not to be used after the first but after the second AV roll. Therefore in my opinion the procedure mentioned above is legal. But due to the fact that it´s a tricky combination we want to prevent further discussions in our local league.
