I am going to be using the new warhammer plastic chaos hounds as a startinf point for converting up some werewolves. You may look at doing the same for the ulfwerners.

I've seen Necromantic BB Werewolves used for this to good effect.

Reaper makes a very nice Werewolf. But he's a bit big. What I did was to take this model from Reaper and hack it apart. I took its head, tail, and arms. I took a Khorne Berzerker body, legs, shoulders, and arms. I de-Khorned the Berzerker parts, posed them dramatically (one uses a "running" set of legs reposed to look like he is peeing), and then added the Werewolf parts. That gave me a wulfen head erupting from the body, wulfen forearms erupting from the upper arms, and a wulfen tail erupting from the back. Drill-and-pin, of course. Copious use of greenstuff to blend the joins.

I'll find a pic of one of these that I've built, but my best and favorite (and currently ONLY) one like this is the one I did for my 40K Space Wolves.

Indeed, katadder, 13th Co Wulfen with minimal conversion work would make excellent BB Ulfweren.

I have used Impact Werewolves, Barbarians from Old Glory (too small), Giant Bears from D & D Angelfire (too big) and am now converting two Thruds to do the job.

Best werewolf conversion i ever saw was the body of a strigoi vampire with the head of a chaos hound or plastic wolf (can't remember which).

I converted up a Reaper mini (I think it was, mayube it was Rackam) for my Ulfwerener - though, to make her fit in with my 'Norse' team, I had to make a unquestionably female Wink

I have 2 GW Beorg Bearstruck(sp) from WHFB Dogs of War for my ulfwereners. He is a norse werebear who are mentioned as an option in a fluff inset in the rule book. I wanted them to seem significantly different from the blood bowl werewolves.

I've been promising myself I'd to that for months. Nice to know it'll look good when I get around to it...
