I am making a "Pygmy" list for the Q'ermitt Stunty Cup. The miniatures I will be converting are Forest Goblins from the Arachnarok Spider as well as Skinks from the 5th Edition WHFB box. I have already made some of those skinks into Forest Goblins as can be seen on my Flickr page http://www.flickr.com/photos/siliconsicilian/ and I think that these would make a pretty decent Pygmy team.

For the Jaguar Warriors, I am stumped as to how to make them stand out without putty pelts. I will likely give them claws from a Skaven set but I don't trust myself on the putty work. (need two)

For the Alligator Warriors, which I probably won't have in my list but will want on the sidelines, I am going to use a base warrior and give him the skull mask from a Skink Priest without the horns and back piece. (need zero but want two)

Eagle Warriors will likely require some form of mask, as well, and that troubles me. Any ideas are welcome. If I feel ambitious, I will give them cloaks. Another question is if a Skink Chief with the Cloak of feathers would require much conversion to remove the weapons and tail. (need two)

Pygmy Warriors are just going to be straight Forest Goblins. (need 4)

I will be representing my fan factor with more "teammates" like the 2 Alligator Warriors. My Coach model will be the Spider Shaman.

Please give any feedback you have as to how to best accomplish the different Specialist Warriors as well as how to make these models more Blood Bowl appropriate (pads.) They are all tiny models and this will be my first Blood Bowl team.

Thanks in advance.

Awesome stuff Xkobiex! Glad to see that your first post is abouit something so worthwhile, namely MY TOURNEY! Very Happy

For those not familiar with the Stunty Cup Rules, there is a pygmy team available to play (you just have to come up with your own figs for it)

The players/skills are as follows:
Jaguar Warrior: Stunty, Claw, Shadowing
Alligator Warrior: Thick Skull, Stunty
Eagle Warrior: Leap, Stunty
Pygmy: Dodge, Stunty, Shadowing

So to answer your question Xkobiex, I would suggest giving the Jaguar Warrior something to singify that he does incdeed have Claws. so whether this is knived strapped to his wrists. or the pelt of a dangerous animal. It is up to you. For the Alligator Warrior - the Thick skull speaks to me that he is perhaps wearing a skull on his head. I know that there are 40K grethchin heads that would fit the bill here.

Anywys, I am excited to see what you put together and look forward to meeting you at the tourney!

I only hope that I will be able to play. It is all going to depend on my wife's schedule...but the team will be built regardless. My Forest Goblin army for WHFB will incorporate these guys into it somehow.... hmmm... 8 men on a team plus the coach.... 8 gobbos on a howda plus a shaman... I may even have to convert the Arachnarok to a Blood Bowl Team Bus.

Claws are easy for the Jaguars as I have lots of skaven fighting claws. Pelts would really make these guys pop. Now that I think about the Eagles, I am likely going to go with the three feather heads and the spider shaman body with some putty. That means I have everything I need except for the skull masks. I will look around for them over the next week. Pics will be posted as they become available.

After looking at all the lists available for the Stunty Cup, this list didn't seem like it would be super competitive compared to a Skink or Skaven team, but it definitely looks like it will be the most fun to build aside from the hilarious Fairy Team. Leprechauns and Pixies...lol.

Plus, I'm new so I'm expected to lose... If I do, I will be stylish about it.

I am thinking the old doom diver models would work well for eagle warriors, with feathers built up on the wings (not sure youtr skill at puttying).

I picked up a blister of Razorwing today from Lionel...the Eagles are going to be super easy to convert now. I will go through my old Lizardmen models tomorrow and I'm sure the Gators will be set.

Not sure if I mentioned but I have wanted to play Blood Bowl for an extremely long time and just never found a player base. This tournament has really inspired me to get some models on a pitch.
