What's the upper limit on this team? I figure 6 vampires, 10 thralls, one Luthor (freebooting), one head coach, and some cheerleaders and assistant coaches.
Maybe 24 people? Perhaps more? |

A good question. I don't know how many they are sending me (could just be 11, heck it could be less) but conversions are always fun, especially for coaching staff/cheerleaders. I guess I'll find out when the package arrives, I don't want to be a pest and ask them since they have already been so generous. |

I'm sure we can make up the "empty" slots with human linemen conversions. Or plunder the WFB range - Lahmian cheerleaders |

Yeah, Head Coaches and Thralls will be fairly easy to convert. Count Luthor isn't hard to find. Human Cheerleaders would do nicely.
Oh, and we should also send series of final pictues to them when we finish. It would be really cool to see that turn up in a BBmag someday. |

Well, as my painting skills not up to much I'll volunteer to do a thrall. If we don't get enough (any? ) thralls from Fanatic, then I'm quite happy to convert one from the Mordheim/Marauders plastic sprues. |

Put me in too.
I reckon Ant should do the Lord if he's willing. Seems right that the guy who won Best Paint at both Resurrection and the Blood Bowl should look after the centerpiece. |

I agree that Anthony should do the Lord. He's always been able to push a good paintjob with a good conversion.
I'll be happy painting whatever someone throws at me. I've only been painting about 6 months now, but have quickly learned the tricks of the trade and feel I could contribute. |

As for colors, I think a dark red/silver or a dark purple/gold mix would be excellent. |

gold'n'purple would be good
but I REALLY like the idea of very dark cherry red for the main armour with slightly brighter red piping.
remember we need a NAF logo on the players though so when it's printed in WD and the BB mag everyone will ask "What's that?" then investigate and join up
muahahaha |

I was thinking of 12/31, but it's open to general discussion. That would give us plenty of time, but would it be too much time? Let me know what you prefer. |

it seems like a long way away
what if we set the deadline for joining in at 15th July? When you get the figs Melifaxis you can send them to the people already signed up so they can start working on them before the after-summer tourney season starts. If we don't get enough people signed up to paint a fig before 15th July then I'm sure people will be willing to paint more than one - I certainly would.
If we set a deadline for getting them painted nice and early, say 1st September, that means when people get dealyed painting them there is plenty of room for slippage before the end of the year. I know it's tempting fate asking this, but can it really take over a month to paint one or two minis?
Alternatively you can just send them out to people who are signed up at the time, then ship out any extra as and when people finish painting or new bods sign up for it. I think setting a relatively close finish date should provide the impetus to get on with it. |
