I like the idea of using NAF colors, red, white an black.

If the white is used carefully, the colors could look great on the vamps. And the muscular structures really need to be red Smile

NAF colors I think seem to be pretty well accepted by the group. As well as avoiding metallics.

I just got an e-mail letting me know that they have been shipped out. Start thinking of thrall conversions, base ideas, etc Very Happy

NAF colours work well. Thralls can be made from human lineman without any converting.

Question, are we going to make this an "official" NAF team? Meaning, besides the colour, do we paint the logo on as well? Also, we need to discuss what colours go where, as this should look like a unified team.

With my painting skill I'd have to vote against adding the logo.

Depends on where we're adding it, I suppose, and I don't think the new logo would be that difficult to pain, but I see your point, Darkson. Maybe only on the Lord? Guess that's up to whoever's painting the Lord.

Just was wondering about something today. There will be 11 - 16 people (depending on how many minis GW has sent) who will get to paint the official minis and then the rest who will have to do conversions. Is this really fair as the minis from GW are free and therefore most of the people will only have to pay out postage costs, while the others doing the conversions will have to actually buy a mini as well as paying for postage (to send to whoever is collecting the team together). In the other legacy teams on TBB, everyone had similar expenses (mini and postage), so I think that there is an unbalance issue as far as cost goes. And BTW, how are the people who get to paint to official team minis get picked?? Is it going to be random or is someone (WHO??) going to pick them??

What the heck ... I'm in ... I just got 20 new paint brushes today ... need to break them in.

Galak

I'm decent at conversion so I'm willing to do one if something falls in that category.

Once we know how many official minis we have I'll happily create a random list of coaches and get someone to pick "names out of the hat" like they did at TBB.

Although I'd like to paint one of the new minis, I'll gladly convert a mini at my own expense for this project. I'll say those two words again - Lahmian Cheerleaders!

Hmm, actually I may be able to make transfers of the logo, I've made them before. They aren't quite the same quality as GW's but they are close.

you can do a search on google for waterslide transfer paper and you buy them and make them using a decent inkjet printer.
