Converting - Blood Bowl Pitch Charger - Dec 11, 2003 - 02:28 PM Post subject: Blood Bowl Pitch
I wasn't sure if this would be painting or converting or something completly different, so I stuck it here. This is a link to my website; I've got some pictures of the Blood Bowl pitch I made to accomodate the large number of players in our league without boxed sets.

Yes, great job, just too bad I could never win against you playing on that darn thing....I like the dugouts the best....or should I say my players liked the KO'd box so much they decided to stay in there for the rest of the game Xtreme - Dec 11, 2003 - 09:37 PM Post subject:

nice - what did you make it out of?
I've got a wooden box that I'm going to glue a polystyrene block into then make the pitch out of that. Afterwards I'm going to construct the stands around it with loads of supporters Indigo - Dec 12, 2003 - 06:14 AM Post subject:

this is a nice board. why you don't add some symbol in the line of scrimagge?
I made 4 stadiums: one with wood, two with foam, and another with a piece of roof (dungeonbowl) If somebody give some directions about how take good pictures, I'll post them for you. Tomorrow, I'll begin to built my 5 stadium (actually are boards, but...)Charger - Dec 15, 2003 - 05:00 PM Post subject:
I didn't do a symbol on the line of scrimmage because this was an experimental piece and I had to finish it in two days. My next pitch is going to be astrogranite made with Hirst Arts fieldstone blocks. If I ever get around to it.Colin - Dec 15, 2003 - 08:25 PM Post subject:
That sounds like it would look really cool, but aren't you afraid that a hard surface like that would tend to chip the paint on your minis?Charger - Dec 16, 2003 - 09:25 AM Post subject:
The surface will be no harder than the cardboard board usually played on. The blocks are cast in plaster, painted and then sealed with PVA. And I always seal my minis to keep the paint from rubbing off, so chipping will not be an issue.
