Can a person combine these two, by adding thier ST to one or both armor rolls?

I think there was a post on this at TBB but since it's down, memory will have to suffice...

And memory says no I'm afraid, I'm fairly sure you can only use "piling on" against one opponent.

but I freely admit I might be wrong. Confused

A friend of mine actually brought this up yesterday. P 34, LRB "All skills may be used once per action unless stated otherwise. Traits may be used an unlimited number of times unless ruled otherwise."

So you can't use PO on both players you take down, but you could use Claw and Razor Sharp Fangs on both of them.

Hmm.. I was under the impression that Mighty Blow could be used on both players though. I thought I'd seen that on a TBB thread but I could be wrong.

Yeah, I thought I read that somewhere also, and that's way I was asking.

apparently not - it seems pretty clear from that statement in the LRB...

having thought about it though, I remember this on TBB - I reckon that a multiple block IS one action, simply against 2 players.

You are not making 2 blocks, simply blocking 2 at the same time, so the skills are applied to both. Using this justification, then Piling On should be allowed. From a "realism" point of view though, I suspect it should only be used once, as it seems to be more of a special case. Mighty blow represents you just hitting people really hard!

Indigo: I completely agree that MB is one action. You're adding their strength together and making the block with one set of dice, using the same result. Even if they were two seperate blocks, you couldn't use PO on them both because you'd resolve one, use PO, and be down on the ground when the other is resolved.

Huh...

Back on topic I don't see how Piling On differs from Mighty Blow, it's all still part of the players action. Both players go down at the same time and are then Piled On.

Of course some issues arise when one defender has block and one doesn't as then only one might go down, but I would say then just Pile On the downed player.

If you need a real world visualisatin just inagine that both players are knocked down and then the Piling on player slams onto both of them, they were next to each other when blocked after all.

actually the piling on person would simply roll around on the ground and then getting it or a double elbow drop. . . . .
