Rules Questions - Pushing into the Crowd Question crazylegs - Feb 24, 2004 - 02:37 PM Post subject: Pushing into the Crowd Question
I just had somebody tell me the other day that when you push somebody into the crowd, with a Pow, or Pow/Pushback (and they can't use Dodge) that you roll to injure them as usual, and then afterwards roll an additional crowd injury. Is this true? We've always played it's just a crowd injury. Is there an official ruling on this that I can point to for the use of the commishioner in my league?
thanks,Tutenkharnage - Feb 24, 2004 - 03:06 PM Post subject:
Absolutely untrue. Check the rulebooks - you only make an AV roll when a player hits the ground.

Ok that's what I thought, but I didn't know where to support my statement from... thanks Chet.
(I should have been skeptical when a Norse player made a statement
like this to improve the value of pushing people out of bounds)Tutenkharnage - Feb 24, 2004 - 04:05 PM Post subject:
You're welcome. If your leaguemates demand a more specific answer, put them to p11 of the LRB:
"Note that no Armour roll is made for a player that is pushed off the pitch, they are automatically injured."
Cheers!

What you're talking about here is a very popular house rule that i've seen in many leagues, but it's never been an official rule.
