North America - GenCon SoCal tourney?

Post subject: GenCon SoCal tourney?
Not sure were else to put this, but this seemed to be the place.
I just wrote to the GenCon SoCal people about setting up a tourney there, and the response I got was that they already had someone from GW setting up a tourney. Then, he sent me a link to the GenCon Indy event submission in case I still wanted to host my own tourney.
Have any of you guys heard about this tourney? Or is it possible that he is confusing this tourney with a different one at Indy?

Nevermind. The person I was in contact with had Indy on the brain, there is no tourney scheduled at SoCal yet. So, guess I can go ahead and start planning one.
