OK here it is :

Player A throws to Player B, who is in two takle zones;
Pass is innaccurate;
Ball scatters three times and lands on opposing team player who can't catch it;
Ball bounces on Player B;
Player B rolls a 6 to get the ball.

Turnover or not?

Even if it hit the ground and came back to player B or A (or any other player on your team), it would not be a turnover. Actually, even if it hit the ground, bounced into the corwd, was thrown back in, hit the ground and landed on any player of you team (who caught it), it still wouldn't be a turnover.

The only time that a Pass action that finishes in the hands of one of your players is a turnover is if the original Pass roll was a Fumble.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but why is the fumble scenario you just described considered a turnover?

I thought the ball needed to be completely at rest and/or in your opponent's control to be a turnover.

Thanks. -Karl Lagerbottom

Fumbles are always turnovers, LRB p22:

      Quote:
Sometimes a player attempting to throw the ball will drop it in their own square. This is more likely if the player has any opposing players breathing down his neck! To represent this, if the D6 roll for a pass is 1 or less before or after modification, then the thrower has fumbled and dropped the ball. The ball will bounce once from the thrower???s square, and the moving team will suffer a turnover and their team turn ends immediately.
