Post subject: Throw Teammate
Guys-
I am in the process of putting together a Ogre team and had a quick/silly question. Ih an Ogre picks up a gobbo with the ball, and doesn't throw him, but runs it into the end-zone instead...who gets the SPPs for the TD?

I did say it was a silly question...

The ogre can't moved after he's picked up the goblin. He can move before picking him up, but once he's got the goblin, he must throw it right away.

Zombie-
That makes sense, and probably prevents cheese and confusion, but I wasn't able to see anything in writing that stated that a Big Guy couldn't move after picking up a team mate.

When I read that other than the couple of stipulations in the rules regarding the throwing of a team mate, that this would be treated as a normal Pass. (I understood that to mean movement before the throw included.)

Can you point me to the place in the rules where the non-movement is discussed?

Thanks in advance. -Karl Lagerbottom

p23 of the LRB 3.0, first paragraph, "The monster must take a pass action, and may move before he throws the other player. AFTER his move the two players must be in adjecent squares, and both must be standing..."

the use of the word AFTER pretty clearly says that once he has picked up his teammate he cannot move further.

Ok...I see it now. Apparently I had missed that sentence entirely.

Other than a couple of games experimenting with a Minotaur team...this Ogre team will be my first real exposure to Big Guys. In fact, I mostly have played Dwarf teams so most SP skills having to do with passing are not ones that I have used.

That actually leaves me to another rules question about Diving Catch, but I'll look that up first and start another post if I don't get me answer there.

Thanks again. -Karl Lagerbottom
