Rules Questions - wizard spell; fireball

maybe i missed it somewhere in the rules, but i'm somewhat confused how to read the fireball rules.

the rules state that any player under the fireball template can be hit.
you'll have to role over the AG of all standing players, if you fail they manage to dodge the fireball.
Does this mean that all players which are stunned or prone are always hit?
Or do you still have to role over their AG, or can't they be hit at all?

greetings, Peter Meijer

They can't be hit (stupid rule).

i figured that was the rule, but i could not find it.

Apparently it's the force of being knocked down, and not the SEERING HEAT, that does the damage. sigh...

Yes but if the damage was done by the searing heat then everyone in the area of effect should be automatically SERIOUSLY INJURED or DEAD.

Being a MAGICAL fireball it is not necessarily hot and could just be a flash way of knocking over players. And do we really want wizards to be about injuring players rather than gaining a tactical edge?

I personally would rather have the rule the way that it is now.

Me too, the ST of the fireball is knocking over a cage and being able to find a way in. There's no need to add injury to insult Smile
