I just aquired a classic set of Blood Bowl dwarfs. I would like to do some customizing to them and work with the green stuff for the first time. Do you mean the 2nd edition or the 3rd edition dwarves?
The 2nd edition ones are nice, but most of the 3rd edition ones are quite useless for conversions (big lump of metal) in my opinion. I like that they have more of a football look than the 3rd edition minis (IMHO). The 2nd ed dwarves are so stocky, it does not present many options to customize. Since I am new at using greenstuff, I may be missing the boat on some obvious things to try though. All of the arms are so close to the body that it may be a tough conversion...but cutting off an arm and putting it in a more dynamic position would be a start I guess.Sturmjarl - Jul 11, 2004 - 02:33 AM Post subject:
Not exactly sure what 2nd ed. minis you have or the conversions in mind but here are some suggestions.
1. Green Stuuf can be frustrating to use at first. I STILL do not completely understand how it works but GENERALLY you will need to works in layers. 1st general "shape" let dry/cure/harden THEN add detail/texture.
2. Any conversion out more than a quarter inch will need a "pin" frame FIRST.
