=====================
I'm now happy to confirm that I have found a suitable venue, so Carnage II will be a definite this year!
I will post more solid details soon, but in summary you can expect:
Capacity up to 70 people - we're hoping for twice as many as last year!
Limited edition free gift given to EVERY competitor (in association with House-Rulez)
Loads of prizes for all the usual awards + many more!
On-site refreshments (and potentially sandwiches - tbc)
Easy to get to from within the UK and abroad
Subsidised local accomodation (tbc)
Costs are TBC too, but should be in the region of £25 for non-NAF, with a suitable NAF discount. I'm also working on a referral bonus for returning members.
I'm taking names for a pre-registration list and will attempt to maintain it here and on TBB. Email or PM to reserve your place now!

OK, more definite info for you....
After doing my sums, the ticket prices will be £25 for non-NAF and £22 for NAF. Also, if you attended the tournament last year and you bring someone who didn't come last year along this year then you BOTH get £2 off your ticket price. There is no limit to the number of people a returning player can refer.
For example, Alex came to last year's event and invites Bob, Charlie and Dan this year. Bob and Dan are NAF members, but Alex and Charlie aren't.
Alex pays £25 - £6 for 3 referrals = £19 for his ticket.
Bob and Dan pay £22 - £2 = £20 each
Dan pays £25 - £2 = £23
Hopefully that won't be too confusing
There WILL be another exclusive free gift this year, although it'll be a surprise like last yeat
I'm trying to negotiate subsidised accomodation in a local hostel, more on that as I get a response. There are plenty of B&Bs around though, and there should be some fairly cheap ones too.
Expect to see a tournament pack posted sometime next week.

OK some good news for anyone travelling down and needing a place to stay. I've negotiated a better rate for anyone staying at "The Generator" hostel near Russell Square and only 5 mins walk to the venue. Apparently this hostel has been voted in the top 5 in the UK and top 10 in Europe. It has both cheap shared dormitory style rooms as well as 2, 3 or 4 bed private rooms. If you are planning on coming I suggest you get a group together then book en masse. To take advantage of the deal I suggest you email contact@hostelbookers.com and quote "Carnage 2" to get the better rate. At the moment it's not full, but if you're coming I advise booking early.
I'll also provide some examples of other accomodation in the tourney pack due out next week sometime.
The hostel page can be viewed here:
www.hostelbookers.com/booking/?hostel=1327
Main hostel site is www.hostelbookers.com, then look for The Generator in London.

Just a reminder - with a little over two months to go before the tournament there are already 33 people likely to attend. Remember also that every attendee will get a free limited edition figure as well as other special gifts, not to mention the chance to win some great prizes. You will only be able to get this figure by attending one of this year's House Rulez tournaments!
I'm really hoping we can hit the maximum 70 people to make this the biggest UK tourney (bar the Blood Bowl ) so come on, sign up!
This event is set to be bigger and much, much better than last year so what are you waiting for?

Just been told of a clarification that needs to be made. In the section regarding skill advancement after the match, the sentence
They may give TWO skills to any two different players
is ambiguous.
Essentially it means you can give one skill each to two different players, provided neither player already has a skill.

I plan to be in the top 10 for this tourney so if their are any other really good BB'ers considering signing up at the last minute then please don't, London is very expensive and the loose women are not all their cracked up to be.
OF COURSE, if you are thinkning of coming along just purely for the fun of it and don't care if you lose then please sign up and ask to play against me, DC....

Honest mate, bring the bits you have left to finish and I will give you a hand to finish them off, it wll give me that little bit of extra incentive to win one of them if I actually helped to paint it!!

The Generator was 'basic' accomodation with cretinous, smiling staff (The type that wouldn't have the aptitude to say 'Would you like fries with that?'). If you were about 20, didn't care where you slept and wanted the chance to be told off by half drunk girls in many languages, it would be the perfect place to stay.

Quite true. The 'Skink Preservation Society' was alive and well during that game. How can you not name one of them 'Charlie Croaker'?
Am sure that I have single-handedly kept the Rules Review gang from thinking that Khemri are overpowered despite Ken's winning streak.

Hey man, a Hobgoblin team may just be a success....
In a more sober part of the weekend I was talking to Venomous and he was waxing lyrical about his planned Hob team which went something like:
12 Hobgob's
8 re-rolls
9 fan factor
2 cheerleaders
q assistant coach
...and all of a sudden they seem to have a chance .
Just think if it was a 1,100 tourney? that is an additional 2 Hobgoblins. Food for thought....

I think I helped by being in one of those lower positions. I was doing ok on day one but a poor showing on day two left me third from bottom
Having checked out the rankings of my opponents, i'm feeling a bit better about my performance though and hopefully I learnt a thing or two while I was being outplayed.
Great tournament, thanks Indy.

I was doing ok on day one but a poor showing on day two left me third from bottom

Don't worry about it. I came about 4th from bottom at carnage1 and I came 4th at this one . Just make sure you are back next year...

I'm not too worried about it, I had a great time and played some seriously good players. I managed to pick up a few tricks on the way to try out in my league so i'll be practicing for next time round.
Not sure i'll make next year as it's pretty close to my wedding date but i'll try to put in an appearance somewhere next year.
Shame i'm not going to make Spiky.
