What race are those figs suposed to be?

I think they're supposed to be human, based on the asterix comic's, but i'm hoping some one can tell me where they are from, and what for. And maybe better pic's Laughing

Asterix comics, never heard of it, possible I may have seen the comic, just never knew the name.

Canada is a Franco-anglo country. Asterix is a french comic, and you ain't heard of them?
