Ok...I finally managed to get a doubles roll for one of my Dwarfs. (First roll for a given player mind you.)
Of course I follow-up that roll with a roll of three on two dice. B-R-U-T-A-L!
Anyway, this is for a team that I don't play with very often, so I am reluctant to do the typical itchy-trigger finger deal, and cut him straight away. However, given that he will not be available all the time...should I give him the old stand by, dodge...or should I give him that is more fun?
(He is a 2nd Edition Dwarf kicker...I iwas thinking of Hail Mary kick.

? A 3 on a first skill means you haven't aged. You need to get snake eyes to age.
Also you never said whether it was a longbeard, runner, blitzer or troll slayer.
There is a part of me that thinks you ought to keep him and take the skill that puts the biggest "I'm a target" marker on him

Sounds like a good dirty player.

Ok...let me change my word here A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! I did roll a three...YES!
The Dwarf in question is a Longbeard. As I said earlier...He is a 2nd ED Kicker Model and would have gotten kick if not for the doubles roll. Should I just go with Dodge now that I know that he is a reliable player? Or would Stand Firm be decent choice?

EDIT: I was also thinking of emulating the old school Dirty Kick guy and give him Mighty Blow or Dirty Player eventually. Heck I may give him HMP after all...I might need to punt after a stalled drive.
Or Dump Off...kick the ball off to one of his teammates ala The Soccer Star that he is. This guy was once named Dito DelPiede. (Which I sort of cobbled together in my pseudo Italian.) Toe Of The Foot? Can a someone who really speaks the language help me out here?

Well the standard double on a long beard would be Stand Firm.
Diving Tackle would be fun too - and probably a little more sympathetic to the model.
HMP doesn't really work as he'd have to have the ball to use it.
What I often do is "swap" player numbers around when they get skills. If I've got a player that makes a good kicker/dirty player/mutation whatever and some one else does I'll just swap their team numbers.
