Rest of the World - Eucalyptus Bowl - 3/4 Sep (Sydney) Chunky - May 01, 2005 - 07:23 PM Post subject: Eucalyptus Bowl - 3/4 Sep (Sydney)
We have now confirmed our venue and are happy to announce that Eucalyptus Bowl will be held on the 3rd and 4th of September at Earlwood-Bardwell Park RSL Club.
We'll be adding things to the site as we go, so please check back every now and then to stay updated (first thing on the agenda will be maps to the venue)

YES! This is the weekend between my exams and my AST (scaling test)... looks like I can go Well, maybe...
BTW the website doesnt seem to be working atm... (5/5 afternoon) but of course that could just be my dodgy computer...Doubleskulls - May 05, 2005 - 12:46 AM Post subject:
Glad to have another.
The website is down today and maybe tomorrow too as there is an electrician working in the building. Try at the weekend and it ought to be back.rochallor - May 05, 2005 - 04:31 AM Post subject:

Up and down this morning.
Tentatively I would like to attend. I will be bringing my Darkies I think - but I will need to mull over the rules first.Babs - May 09, 2005 - 08:45 PM Post subject:
For someone who doesn't know Sydney too well, where is Earlwood-Bardwell Park RSL Club?
Where's Earlwood????Doubleskulls - May 09, 2005 - 09:35 PM Post subject:

Look here-DM- - May 11, 2005 - 06:52 PM Post subject:
I'm there - already regoed. Payment will probably be a month or two off though, got the quarterlies rolling in at present and it sucks Chunky - Jun 03, 2005 - 04:37 AM Post subject:
G'day folks - we're up to 15 players registered for EucBowl, so we're looking rather spiffily good for our initial target of 20 players with 3 months to go. I know there are plenty of you regulars out there who haven't signed up yet, so why not support us and come along and have a fun time?Bevan - Jun 04, 2005 - 03:39 AM Post subject: Sorry
I would really like to come but it looks like a Tasmanian team is not going to be able to be there for this event. We were able to arrange for several good reasons to be in Sydney for the Leviathon weekend, but don't expect to be able to come up with anything similar for Ecalyptus. However, I'll keep the date marked on my calendar. Doubleskulls - Jun 04, 2005 - 06:50 AM Post subject:
18 registered now - so it if you come we ought to be the 2nd biggest tourney in Australia in our 1st year. rochallor - Jun 05, 2005 - 12:12 AM Post subject:
Well we are currently finalising our accomodation details but in a day or two you should have another 4 registrations And to think its still 3 months away...-DM- - Jun 05, 2005 - 05:07 PM Post subject:
Awesome!
Being my first BB tournament, I'm really looking forward to this and seeing so many regos this quickly is very encouraging indeed! Nice work guys!Doubleskulls - Jun 27, 2005 - 09:48 PM Post subject:
Over 25 coaches now (and Babs hasn't even registered yet ). Come on guys - we could beat CanCon at this rate Elan - Jun 28, 2005 - 07:50 AM Post subject:
Damn, and I can't get there - between bribing my wife to let me run the Fanatik Kup and heading overseas for a long deserved holiday, I just can't see me making it *sniffle*
I will still try tho - I have a little while yet to wangle it!Chunky - Jun 28, 2005 - 06:17 PM Post subject:
27 BABY!!! Carn folks, lets make this huge!-DM- - Jun 28, 2005 - 06:34 PM Post subject:

If you exceed 32 you'll need a 6th round. Otherwise you could have more than one player undefeated, despite a pure Swiss system throughout. Doubleskulls - Jul 01, 2005 - 02:01 AM Post subject:
28 now.
Although Bevan is mathematically correct. About a sixth of games end in a draw - that ought to make us safe to about 50 coaches. :phew:
If it doesn't I think the winners should arm wrestle in the bar dan - Jul 13, 2005 - 08:23 AM Post subject:
Left or right arm?Doubleskulls - Jul 13, 2005 - 05:25 PM Post subject:
That depends. If they are both right handed then left, if the are both left handed then right. If they are mixed then probably bare knuckle boxing is the only fair way to resolve it. Doubleskulls - Jul 21, 2005 - 01:30 AM Post subject:
A big thanks to Jervis for providing us with two exclusive posters.
There are also a couple of signed copies of Fanatic Mag and a painted elf cheerleader (presumably from the in house Elf team).
So if you want to win it you've got to be in it!
32 registered, and 11 paid up and still over a month to go.Doubleskulls - Jul 29, 2005 - 06:37 PM Post subject:
18 paid now. So that makes us the 2nd largest BB tournament in the Southern Hemisphere with over a month to go! -DM- - Aug 04, 2005 - 10:45 PM Post subject:
36 Pre Regos too! WOW!
I've paid and ready to roll...
Come on September!Doubleskulls - Aug 05, 2005 - 05:32 PM Post subject:

We have order the trophies as well now, I can honestly say I think they are very cool - quite appropriate for the various awards we'll be giving out.Doubleskulls - Sep 02, 2005 - 03:58 AM Post subject:
