Does anyone ever set up turneys in scandinavia?

I'd love to be able to attend other tourneys but they usually start at about 200£ once you add tickets *SOB*. Simply can't afford it once a month.

There used to be a few in Sweden as a part of a bigger warhammer tournament, maybe there will be one in Copenhagen in October as part of GF8. I guess you know of this Laughing

Concerning GF8 in October, then I have tried to get in contact with the people behind the tournament but they do not reply to my mails. I have offered them to arrange everything for them, but hey what can you do??

As to Sweden:

On SydCon, in Malmö, there's been a NAF-sanctioned tourmament for the past two years: the Spettcake Bowl I and II. This year there's no SydCon so we in MAFOC are currently discussing how to organise Spettcake Bowl III.

On LinCon there's been NAF-sanctioned tournaments (the organisers even called them "Swedish Championships") 2003 and 2004. This year I can't find any Blood Bowl tournament in the LinCon programme however.

Then there's the non-NAF tournaments often arranged at other gaming conventions. I know there's usually one in Halmstad each year, for instance.

I think that plasmoid's tournament is called the Lustria Open and is held in Copenhagen. Last one was in May.

Its true that there is a tournament in May in Copenhagen, but I am not sure either if this is a NAF tournament, there used to be a lot of house rules.

Yeah. I knew about the Lustria open turney.
The rules they use are heavy with houserules. Lots of extra teams etc etc.

It is not NAF sanctioned and never will be(I seriously doubt it anyway).
I should of course have mentioned it, but I meant to say - NAF sanctioned turneys.

If there ever is one in Malmö I will most certainly be there if it is not a day where I have my daughter.

As for Holland. Actually it is just as costly to go to holland as it is to go to the UK. Wish it was different, i'd be playing more then.

I really hope you guys figure out how to organize the Spettcake Bowl III, or the Swedish Championship.

And Musta(Gen'ni) Lets hope Rasmus sees the light and asks for help(GF8)

There is a blood bowl-tourney at the Lincon (Linköping) this year also, but it will not be the swedish championship this year. And probably not NAF-sanctioned. It will be held next weekend if I remember correctly.

Every year around easter there is a large tournament at the Gothcon in Gothenburg. The tournament was NAF-sanctioned last year, but not this year.

Getting in on this thread wayyyyy late...
I heard nothing about tourneys at Gothcon OR Lincon this year - I couldn't make it myself after they moved the dates of Lincon, and I was working over Easter.

I will do my damndest to make it to both Gothcon and Lincon next year.
I already have a couple of thoughts for next Lincon if noone else wants to run a tourney....assuming my job doesn't get in the way. Anyone else fancy late night BB?
(I'm going to want to fit BB in with Warmachine y'see).

TBH I'm not sure I'll bother trying a Swedish championship again though...it seems daft when so many players from FUMBBL don't turn up for REAL Blood Bowl.
