This is my first conversion ever, its supposed to be a goblin working hard as a mascot for my team Green and Messy.

Please let me know what you think of it.

So what would it look like when it is finished? Is he in a mascot costume?

The figure on the picture is done, it can be a little bit hard to see, but the green blup in the middle should look like a BB ball.

Heh. I'd think about cutting a hole into the greenstuff and sinking part of a gobbo face in there..eyes and nose maybe?
But pretty cool...

I was thinking the same thing...his face should be visible. Spikes on the ball would aslo be cool..Neat idea Very Happy

At the very least use a pin vice to drill a couple of eye holes - I did not see the second pic the first time I looked - much clearer as a football now! (at first I thought that maybe you team mascot was a sunflower seed!) Laughing

I added the second pic after you first comment, then one about what is this to be? Wink
After all the feedback from NAF and TBB, then I will create the eyeholes which I had in mind in the beginning but left out. I have started to paint this fig two days ago and I hope to find the time to finish him before RDV 3, but I doubt it, I still have 2 BOBs and a blitzer to finish as well.

Thank you for the comments

That's true, holes for the eyes would make it look a real stunner besides the field! Great work *thumbs up* Very Happy

Laughed my butt off! That is great, hope they don't play many games in Lustria, damn hot Wink

I would echo what others have said, add either 2 holes for eyes, or cut in an eye slit (easier to do and keep symetrical).

He'd also make a great gobo for a team that doese a lot of throw team mate Laughing

Do you have updated pictures with the eye hole cutouts? I would really like to see this when it is done and painted. I would use a mascot as an extra cheerleader, and I was actually trying to find a Jack In The Box for my Pro Elf team the "Dangerous Toys". I'm using the shadowforge female elven team with all the mascots and cheerleaders etc.

Seems that my work is taking over leaving me with little time to do anything with figures.

For a first ever conversion, it's amazing! I love the concept to it, too. Chances are he'd be mistaken by the ball and that would end up in a very bad day for the Gobbo. Hilarity ensues, no doubt. Wink Seriously though, it's very smooth, properly proportioned, and overall - well executed. The ONLY thing I'd change on it would be to put in a couple of eye-holes or some mesh in front for him to see out of, but besides that, I wouldn't change a thing. That silly little flag in his left hand is hilarious, too. Well done!!

Any reason why you're replying to a thread over 3 years old?

I didn't look at the date until after the fact, but that aside it was only a page behind, so I decided just to leave it and didn't think it'd be a big deal. I'm hoping it wasn't. Also, I just joined up here this past week and am still finding my way around.
