Converting - Skaven cheerleaders hoomin_erra - Mar 15, 2003 - 10:30 AM Post subject: Skaven cheerleaders
Hey, has anyone got any good idea's on conversions for skaven cheerleaders? GW seems a bit lax on producing them. At the mo all i can think of is the plastic gutter runners, and a bit of putty on the ends of the arms.Ratin_Mutants - Mar 15, 2003 - 05:06 PM Post subject:
I have thought of takeing a Linerat, and giving him a little skirt or something, mayby some breast, but I´m not sure how many breast a skaven femal would have. So, I might not do much else than converting the arms, making it possible to let two rats holding a banner.
Otherwise There must be some figs. from the fantasy battle range with instruments.... I have also thought of getting my paws on the Skaven Screaming Bell. I seems as a must for a skaven Band.Madzit - Mar 15, 2003 - 07:03 PM Post subject:
It's not a great image, but check out the avatar.
It's one I made up for the Blood Bowl. I used an assassin figure, and grafted on the pom-poms from the dwarf cheerleader model.
I didn't go as far as making it look like a female, since I wouldn't know where to start with Skaven?Charger - Mar 16, 2003 - 11:48 PM Post subject:
My skaven cheerleader conversions aren't even that nice. I just used some skaven from the fantasy regimental box set and some pom-poms I bought at a craft store (the little puffy balls used in arts and crafts.) I painted the cheerleaders, cut the hands off, then glued pom- poms to their tails and hands. And to make them look "female" I gave them red lipstick and toenails. I have pictures on film, and if they turn out I'll scan them and put them on the web

In the Skaven background the only female Skaven spoken of are Breeders, but what they look like I have no idea. In my morbid imagination they're big, bloated and hairless with loads of nipples, but a normal skaven with some nipples, slutty make-up and pom-pons would be just as horrible

No squiggoth, you don't wanna know..
I'd use the skaven regiment sprue. I imagine skaven cheerleaders not waving pom poms but the heads of their opponents.. Dave - Mar 19, 2003 - 03:49 AM Post subject:

I can always use some inspiration...
Oh, and waving heads around isn't very hygienic!

For my skaven team I am using a musician and a banner bearer. I am planning on having the banner say something like "Go Team Go" or "Rah Rah Sis Bum Ba" or some other silliness. I never feel obligated to do major converstions on miniatures that GW never feels like producing.
