Converting - Knuckledusterz (Dodge this!) Squiggoth - Feb 12, 2003 - 11:19 AM Post subject: Knuckledusterz (Dodge this!)
Hurrah! First post over here!
Uhm... actually I wuz wondering about knuckledusters - does anybody know a good source for knuckledusters apart from the 40K Ork sprue (I'm all out of Ork knivez and NOT buying a new box of Orkz to get me some knuckles )?AnthonyTBBF - Feb 12, 2003 - 11:20 AM Post subject:

Yeah, I've tried that, but sculpting knuckledusters is really hard for me (they have to be smooth and pointy and sharp and symmetrical, unlike, say, female Orc breasts )Deathwing - Feb 12, 2003 - 11:40 AM Post subject:
Stuff like that it's easier sometimes to carve out of a sprue offcut.AnthonyTBBF - Feb 12, 2003 - 11:41 AM Post subject:

You know those have scarred me for life right? Squiggoth - Feb 12, 2003 - 11:50 AM Post subject:
Thanks. And you thought your Chainsaw Wielding Viking was scary? Wait until I've painted her pritty senseluss girlfriends... I think I'll call my cheerleader chorus "The Yeasty Sisters" (that should be a hint as to how they shall look... )
By the way Deathwing, sprue offcuts might indeed work! (I've also built Shootaz from them...) Thanks!Redfang - Feb 13, 2003 - 02:05 AM Post subject:
I just took some pictures of a Dwarf (Burlok Damminson) I converted with... Knuckledusters.
I did it with greenstuff and a modelling knife, in 2 stages.
If you want to see a picture, send me a PM with your e-mail.
I'm not good at sculpting, and it isn't perfect, but it does show that it is possible.

LOL! If you send yourself a PM, you'll get into your inbox (it worked for me!) Skevan - Feb 13, 2003 - 10:08 AM Post subject:

Like the orc sprue idea, where are these gorkamorka figures .....smeborg - Feb 18, 2003 - 08:03 PM Post subject:
Maybe some of the Necromunda figurines.
Cheers

I've never really considered Necromunda figs
Have to check it out... Thanks!
Martijn
By the way Dave, the Gorkamorka knuckledusters have to be cut to size to make them fit on a new Orc's hand... They fit quite nicely on Goblins, though...Redfang - Mar 10, 2003 - 02:38 AM Post subject:
My Dwarf with metal arm and greenstuff knuckledusters has been painted and photographed. Follow my www league to the 2nd page of pictures ("volgende pagina") He's down there somewhere!

Just checked on the GM figs, not suitable (the plastics that is) The knive / Knuckleduster is waay too big for BB
Need to buy a regiment / squad sprue then.
Here I go again.. Squiggoth - Mar 12, 2003 - 01:15 AM Post subject:
Waaaaaay too big? What have you been eating? It doesn't fit in a Goblin's hand! Oh wait, you mean visually? That's okay, big knuckles make Goblins look scary
