Rules Questions - Disputing Turnovers MichaelDonaghy - Dec 17, 2005 - 05:25 AM Post subject: Disputing Turnovers
can you dispute with the ref, the turnover caused by failing to move the turnmarker? and if your dispute doesnt hold can you then use a reroll?
i know its a rookie mistake but we have rookies here and it happens.
any help is welcome.Melifaxis - Dec 17, 2005 - 06:42 AM Post subject:
Just make a house rule to not call illegal procedure at all. many if not most leagues do this.Paul - Dec 17, 2005 - 07:26 AM Post subject:
You can argue the call on an illegal procedure.
If the game doesn't mean anything, I usually let a rookie get away with it and remind them. Give them a couple freebes and then tag them with it if they're still not learning.
I tell you though, the old rule (loose your turn) was really good at getting people to learn to move the turn counter quick though. I think it took me 1 game to pick that upDoubleskulls - Dec 17, 2005 - 05:19 PM Post subject:
You can argue an IP (since its a penalty call). You can even use Bribe the Ref cards etc to get away with it.
However I personnally hate the IP rule and never use it.
