Strategy and Tactics - Troll general skill question

What would you think it would be better to take for a troll on a goblin team in the way of a general skill, pro or block?

Block seems the obvious choice, but pro can help in so many situations, including blocking.

Alternatively, I could go for two strength skills, instead of the one general skill...

Advice?

planning the gobbos for the Open? Smile

I'd go with Block myself. Pro has a 50/50 chance of not working, yea, its nice to have a reroll for the big guy.

Two Strength skills aren't really that useful. Guard? To give your gobos the str 3 when they block, or break tackle, which is useful, yea, I'll give you that.

Block is the way to go in my opinion. You got enough guys on your team without Block and the Troll will be a target for guys, give him block to make him last longer in the fight. (If you really want to throw them for a loop, take Dodge Smile )

I dunno.... maybe.... Wink

I might be tempted to take dodge for the trolls, but then you would take the dwarves just to spite me! (Stupid tackle skill....) Mad

But seriously, think about all the times pro might come in handy for them:

blocking
passing
stupid rolls
eating the gobbos

It seems a very useful thing to take (even it is only 50/50)

I'd say Block as you'll always be using that. Sure there are tons of situations where you *might* want to use Pro but I don't think all of those situations will be as numorous as you blocking with the Troll.

I'd take Dirty Player on a gobbo... its more in the spirit of team or power gaming Wink

I'd think about Pass...he may eat the gobbo (As he did in our game at The Spike!) but when he's not hungry, he will get that RR on the throw...this could open up your offense quite a bit and be a nice compliment to the AG 4 Gobbos that you're planning. Smile

EDIT: Sorry if that was a secret. Heh heh heh...

GO FLINGS!

EDIT2: How about Stand Firm?

Pro is better than pass. If you do the math they work out identical for the TTM play - but obviously Pro will work even when not TTM'ing.
