Check the website http://www.thesouthernwastesscrimmage.com - with the exception of about 4 entries, that's the current list of who's let me know they're coming. On Tuesday Tim Sleigh - the head organiser of CanCon will email me a 'who's paid' list - the first so far.

My orcs will get a few outings when I'm over in the UK I think. My 'zons are top in Australia so its not as if they are uncompetitive!

Perhaps I will... if the painter gets them back to me in time. He does a great job, and the price is right, but fast he ain't.

I have 26 entries by my count so far with 2 weeks to go.
This is about the number we had at this stage last year, and ended up with 42 playing coaches.

Anyone else I should be including? that's not here: http://www.bloodbowlmajors.com/southernwastesscrimmage/players.htm ?

Post subject: Regisration
In an attempt to get started on Friday as quickly and efficiently as possible, all the coaches' details on Babs CanCon Registered players list will be entered in the computer today (Monday).

If there are any errors or ommission then please post details here and I'll fix it. Babs is rather busy right now so don't just send him an update and expect him to fix the web details, post it here or pm me direct.

I'll be leaving here early Thursday morning so any last minute changes will be done on the day. You can change anything before the start so don't think you're locked into the team listed. It's just that we can get started sooner if most details are already entered.

Nick Ashby is playing Wood Elves, and OzJesting told me he is most likely to be playing Norse. They're the two updates I've got.

If any of those Dwarf coaches are still desperate for some other race to try, I can bring a spare Skaven team along. Rolling Eyes

Boredom? Laughing

I don't claim to be an expert on dwarfs because when I used them in a league years ago I lost nearly as many games as I won. However, I found them a bit dull to play since it was difficult to score in less than 3 turns and sometimes took 4. Scoring twice in each half was always a challenge, so it was hard to get more than 3 TDs per game, although I did get 4 a few times. Rolling Eyes

Ah, but you see young Jedi... its not how many you score, its how many times you stop him from scoring...

For Dwarves, its all about defence!

(And caging, stalling, fouling, crowd surfing but thats another matter)

ooh last minute stuff... if anyone has a saurus and or kroxigor miniature painted and they arent playing lizards, could you please bring them along.. ive only got 5 saurus painted up, and I cant see myself getting the time to slap some paint on a 6th. Just in case I dont lose the masses of players I expect to and have nothing to do with my moolah. Cheers

Do you want green or brown lizards and what numbers do you need on them?

Wasn't that the same excuse as Euc Bowl? 6 months to paint one Krox.

Saying that I can't complain I haven't painted anything for years

Too late, I'm leaving home now. I have packed a green Saurus (14) and Krox(16) but we can renumber them if necessary.

I also have a spare Skaven team for those Dwarf coaches. Rolling Eyes

Babs,

Kudos to you... was a great and exciting tourney and to finish with ozjesting doing a T16 foul to win was a classic given his views on fouling Smile

Met alot of good coaches and new guys I hadnt met before plus catching up with some old friends... was excellent!

Hopefully see you all at Leviathan / Euc Bowl etc etc etc.

Me too - I had a really good time and I think it was the best CanCon I've attended.

I was really glad Tommy got that foul since he did have the better record after the game so I was more than happy to be runner up. And now he can never complain about a T16 foul again Very Happy

Clay - our game was probably the highlight of my tournament - I love those tactical battles Very Happy

For my first Blood Bowl tournament, I enjoyed it very much & will be playing again (I must have, I joined NAF).

Thanks to my opponents for some interesting games, I hope the opposition I provided for my first tournament was both tough & fun.
