Alright ... the website is all updated with all the information from last year and this year's event as well.

Check out: http://www.thechaoscup.com/

5 round swiss tournament, LRB 5.0, TV 100 .... all inducements can be purchased as part of your team other than Special Play Cards and Mercenaries.

Any questions please ask. If your question is why is the Chaos Cup in September it is because it was moved to avoid conflict with the World Cup which was being held on the same weekend that the Chaos Cup was originally scheduled to be held.

Hope to see you all there as last year's event was great!

Final note ... for those of you that watch your NAF rankings .. the Chaos Cup counts extra towards your ranking compared to a normal BB tournament.

Thanks!

I'll be there again this year for sure

Any word on what the 2007 figure will be?

Plus, does anyone know if we can renew our NAF membership there and get the new orange dice (The last two years I renewd my membership there and it couldn't be any easier).

Very Happy

You will be able to renew there. If I have a job i'll be there, and if not I'll send some dice with Galak.

I read in the rules that you can either choose 2 normal skills or a single double or mutation.

Does that mean that I can choose a mutation for a team that normally doesn't allow for them?

And if I'm playing Chaos can I take mutations for my normal skills because they are allowed mutations for normal skills?

You can take 2 normal skills (or mutations if allowed on normal rolls) or one doubles skill (or mutation if allowed on doubles roll).

oooh, 2 skills per game nice

Solarflare, you using the Chaos team you won? I am using my new Lizzies.

I'm pretty sure that's 2 skills after rounds 1 and 3 only (unless it's changed).

I really have no idea which team I will be bringing. The list is narrowed down to any of twelve choices. Last year, I changed my mind the week before.

Lizardmen can be a really fun team, by the way. I like them a lot.

Oh, and I nearly forgot, since it's Chaos Cup, all teams get a free mutation after round 5. Razz

For halflings, those extra arms can come in handy at the dinner table...

Hey, I am seriously thinking of trying to make this event. Anyone have an idea how far away the venue is from the airport? I am trying to see if I can work out leaving right after the tourney to catch a flight home.

Hey guys ... they really need to get an accurate headcount of who all is going to be there ... so if you are attending PLEASE give them a call at 630-426-0120 OR email Allen at Allen.jorjorian@games-workshop.com .

If you don't let him know you are coming ... we might not have enough table space for the tournament ... so PLEASE take the time to give him a call or email as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Tom

Can star players purchased as inducements be given skills after rounds? I'm assuming no, but just want to double check.

No Star cannot get skills.

Also ... there is no skill access chart for Stars ... so there would be no way to know what skills they could get without making it up. Just wanted to add this.

I had another great time, as always! Thanks Galak for another first class tourney!

Sadly the majority of my pictures didn't come out well due to a wrong setting on my camera, but here are a couple. Sad

Congrat's to Geoff for taking 1st!

Here is a pic of the final and afterwards

I hear it was a British 1 2 3? (Lucifer, Geggster, Valen I think). Looks like Geoff's Amazons will be Number One on the rankings again.

As my first loss came from Geoff, it is best to get beaten by the best. He is the best player that I have ever had the privilege of playing against.

Great Job Geoff.

Not shocking since you come from Ohio.
