My Wife made me buy her a WE team yesterday (ok, she didn't have to try hard). I'm going to help her paint it up this weekend, but I'm stuck for ideas on colors. I was going to go green tights, yellow belts with white shoulder-pads similar to the Death-Zone box cover. But I already have a halfling team in green and yellow and I really don't want to duplicate any color schemes. Anyone have any ideas on a good color layout?

I'm behind Fred on this one. You can also paint them dead. Because that's what they will be soon when they start playing.
Oh, and if youy don't want to paint them as rotting corpses yet, you can also give them convincing bruises by washing the area around the eyes with a thinned-down mix of 1/3 Scorched Brown and 2/3 Liche Purple.
Did I mention I despise Elves? Rolling Eyes

hmm, I wonder why you despise them so? Could it be the number of times they've given you a lesson in how to eat pitch?
Actually, she's done fairly well with them, only lost 2 cas in 4 games thus-far. Of course it may just be her lucky armor rolls, lol!

LOL
So far all the Wood Elves have done to me is acting as badly-dressed punching bags. That might have to do with the fact that our Wood Elf coach treats his treehuggers as if they were Orcs (Elven catchers in the line of scrimmage anyone?)
The reason I hate Wood Elves is because they are a bunch of tight-wearing, acorn tea-slurping, pancy prancers who like nothing better than sitting in trees all day playing sissy harps and flutes.
Mind, I hate Dark Elves and High Elves as well - but at least they can fight without animating trees Razz

How about giving them some bloodspatter and dirt. Don't paint them up all prissy and perfect. Make them look like they're getting ready to play turn 5 of the second half.

I'll be sure to get some pics up once their done. Right now, we're leaning to something that looks similar to the cleveland browns, but I may want to add a touch more yellow and red to the mix.

Try mixing Scorched Brown or Dark Flesh with (the old) Fiery Orange if you want a autumn-leave colour, by the way...
