Europe - Waterbowl Weekender III - 16/17 Feb 2008 4 Places Left! Leipziger - Sep 24, 2007 - 02:44 AM Post subject: Waterbowl Weekender III - 16/17 Feb 2008 4 Places Left!
Following the success of the previous installments of the Waterbowl, we are decidely chuffed to announce that our third Weekender will take place on the 16 and 17th February 2008. Due to a growth in numbers over the past couple of years, the tournament will not be held at Fan Boy 3 this time around . However, we have got a sexy new venue. This year's event will be hosted at the CTF Building on Grafton Street, Manchester, which is part of the university. The new venue does have some distinct adantages:
*Air conditioning
*More than enough space for up to 50 players
*Up to 20 parking places onsite (and there is parking nearby)
*More than one toilet (and they're clean )
Check out www.umic.co.uk if you want more details about the location.
Hopefully, we will still have some support from FB3, who have given us excellent support for our tournaments (and still do for our challenge ladder).
Naturally, we hope to offer the same quality of prize support, competition and atmosphere that we have enjoyed at our previous tournaments.
Price:£20 (NAF), £25 (Non-NAF).
Twin Crowns of the North Discount
This year, in conjunction with the Monkeybowl (in Hartlepool), we are offering a special offer price of £27 (NAF) if you wish to attend both of these tournaments (£32 if you are Non-NAF). 12 games of Blood Bowl for under £30 is not to be sniffed at.
For those interested in MonkeyBowling too, the date will be 5th & 6th April.

Places filling up nicely - 21 paid up now Leipziger - Dec 20, 2007 - 04:48 PM Post subject:
The tournament is booking up well and it is looking like we may have to cut off the numbers a little earlier than expected. This means that, rather than 50 players, it may have to be nearer 42.

Before Game 1 - we are going to do the draw for the legacy team, to see who wins it. So, if you have painted a figure and you fancy playing with the team if you win it, then it might be worth bringing a dwarf roster and we can see the Waterbowl dwarves in action!
By the way, does anyone have any ideas for a name for the team?
'The Mancunian Underminers'?
Cheers
