Hi everyone

The Edinboro Castle Blood Bowl League's Pearly Kings and Queens of 2008 is coming!

DATE: 19-20 April.

VENUE: The Escape Bar, right in Camden Town.
http://maps.yell.com/client/yell/?&nat_id=520600&qs=NW1+2JU&sl=false&storePC=NW1+2JU&ssm=0&companyName=SK+Sports+Bar+%26+Resturaunt&clarifyIndex=&clarifyOptions=&replayURL%2Fucs%2FUcsSearchAction.do%3FcompanyName%3DSK%26M%3D0%26ssm%3D0%26location%3DLondon%2Bborough%2Bof%2Bcamden%26scrambleSeed%3D54704094%26potential%3D0%26NSL1%3D%26NSLINDEX1%3D%26NSL2%3D%26NSLINDEX2%3D

We got a dedicated function room in a bar where we can stay in the evenings. We also have our own terrace to enjoy if it's sunny outside.

The venue is just 5mn walk from Euston train station, or 15mn by bus or tube from King's Cross - Saint Pancras (if you come direct from Hogwarts).

We have space for 45-50 people.

TICKET PRICE: £29 if you pay by the 21st March, £34 if you pay after that date.
Lunch is not included, but we'll provide nibbles + there are plenty of inexpensive places to get food from in the area (and you can bring your own food).
To get a ticket, send me a PM with your NAF number and name and pay me:
- by PayPal
Go to www.paypal.com and pay into the account lejjb@hotmail.com
please note the new PayPal account.

- or send a cheque to:

SOCIAL: The PK&Q wouldn't be the same without the Friday night drinks for the early arrivals and the Saturday evening curry/burger/whatever-strikes-our-fancy.

Friday night: still meeting at the venue as planned. Look for me (I'll be wearing a black shirt! - with ECBBL ) inside.

Saturday night: dinner with the best burgers in town, Haché.

Then clubbing for the brave.

RULES: same as last year. The rules and tournament pack can be downloaded from:

ACCOMMODATION -

I recommend the StChristopher's Inn in Camden Town
http://www.st-christophers.co.uk/london-hostels/london/camden
It's the most popular hostel in the area, and fairly professionally managed.

Alternatively, you can look at:
The Camden Town Hostel (it's also very near, but I don't know about the quality of its management)
http://studios92.com/accommodation/CA55.htm

The YHA London StPancras
It's only 15mn away from the venue, very central and decently managed.
http://www.yha.org.uk/find-accommodation/london/hostels/london-st-pancras/index.aspx

and finally the Generator Hostel.
It's also well-known, acceptably managed, but a little further away - about 20 mn. Also in a very central and safe location.

Did someone call? Twisted Evil

I work a ten minute bus ride from Camden so if anyone is going to be around on Friday then a pre-event beer is surely in order Cool .

And to be honest that is just the start. We have a home crowd of at least another 10/12 players who are local to London but who don't necessarily post online much who can attend but are confirming the date so expect this list to grow and grow.

We have confirmed accommodation a 10 minute walk from the venue, please PM JJB if you need this.

Very soon we will start taking payment and start letting you know some of the other stuff going on, keep your eyes here and please post below if you want to be added to the list above...

BE WARNED. FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 4 YEARS A NON-BLACKSHIRT WON LAST YEARS EVENT.

Well I am going to get payment to JJB this week (or at least by the weekend) as the 'late-payers price' is a couple of quid extra that I'd rather spend on beer!! I heartily recommend you do the same.

That and try to work out how to stop my mighty Undead crushing all before them...
