Converting - Making the (non-GW) Chaos Pact Rick287 - Sep 07, 2008 - 04:15 PM Post subject: Making the (non-GW) Chaos Pact
I'm trying to make a Chaos Pact team using entirely non-GW models. I want to make a "complete" team - maximum numbers of positionals and "enough" linemen.
Here are the models I've (sort of) decided on so far:
Ogre:
Pros: Actually looks like a BB player
Cons: None
Possible Equivalents: Several
Minotaur
Pros: Crazy, intimidating sculpt, awesome sight on LoS
Cons: Doesn't look too interested in playing BB
Possible equivalents: Elfbane, similar style but in BB gear
Troll
Pros: Looks more Chaos-like than most Trolls
Cons: No BB armour, expansve arms might hinder placement of other models
Possible equivalents: None found
Goblin Renegade
Pros: Wearing the gear
Cons: Not a very dynamic pose
Possible equivalents: Nothing that isn't scuplted to look 'stupid' as opposed to mean
Dark Elf Renegade
Pros: Nice, different figure, probably represents the player's role on the team
Cons: None, really
Possible equivalents: Only really Impact's Night Elves, but I use them as DE runners in my DE team already
Skaven Renegade
None found
Marauders
None found - must have several different sculpts
As you can see, I'm still umming and ahhing about several, and have totally drawn a blank on non-GW "ratmen", and a source of human players for the Marauders. Any suggestions welcomed... for any of it.arturin - Sep 07, 2008 - 11:43 PM Post subject: RE: Making the (non-GW) Chaos Pact
For a minotaur, I recently bought the Minotaur of the Maze from Reaper miniatures (I cannot add pictures from work ), which has a very interesting price.
You just need to saw off the axe, what is really easy, and the pose is quite dynamic.
