North America - Texas anyone?

Fairly new to the tournament scene here, but I have had a look at all the past and present tournaments.

Seems like we dont get much love down here in Texas.

Are cities like Austin, Houston, Dallas or San Antonio doing any tournaments? or will there be a plethora of tournies in 2009 but they are not advertised yet?

a group out of Austin ran a non-NAF sanctioned tourney in january

one in houston was in June/July, also not NAF

Right, so...two tournaments, in a state that has 24M people...I am the only one thinking that we should get a bit more?

Perhaps, it is time to get things in my own hand.

We have a small league in san antonio, and perhaps we could come up with a small tournament, and slowly grow up.
