Post subject: Blitzing nothing

Let say I have a wild animal
and no one is really around him (or within his normal movement)
can I declare my blitz roll anything but a 1 and move him in any direction as I see fit (including GFI) without making contact with an opponent

Yes, you do not have to blitz but the blitz action is then wasted and therefore lost for the rest of your turn.
Some players even declare a blitz when their wild animal is prone, to get him on his feet again.
