Pearly Kings & Queens VI
The ECBBL are proud to present the 6th Pearly Kings and Queens Bloodbowl tournament, to be held on the 18th and 19th April 2009. This InfoPack will provide you with most of the details for the weekend. If you have any enquiries please feel free to post or pm me on this forum.
Venue
Our venue this year is Southwell house, 39 Fitzjohn???s Avenue, Hampstead, London, NW3 5JT. It???s conveniently located close to central London, a short walk from Finchley Road tube station or a short drive from Junction 1 of the M1. In a change to past tournaments we will be running this years PK&Qs in a conference centre as opposed to a pub or bar, the advantages of this being much lower entry fees and letting players bring their own food and drink into the venue.
Costs
£20 for NAF members
£25 for Non NAF members (this includes sign up to the NAF)
+£30 for B&B at the venue Saturday night (Available to book up until 14th February)
There will be space for up to 48 coaches to take part, places will be given those who pay 1st. Payment details are in our InfoPack. Currently we have 8 places left.
Tournament Format
This will stay the more the same as previous years, 6 rounds Swiss with the 1st round draw made using NAF rankings. We???ll be using LRB5, no stars or inducements except for the Chef for halfling teams. Chaos Pact, Slann and Underworld teams will be allowed.
Awards
1st Place, 2nd Place, Best Stunty, Most TDs, Most CASs, Best Painted, Blackshirt Hunter & Best Newcomer.
We look forward to seeing you all again Blitzwing - Mar 14, 2009 - 05:50 AM Post subject: RE: PK&Q VI London 18-19th April
We've arranged with the venue for a larger room to play (a bit lucky that they had a cancellation) in so we've got another 12 spaces with a maximum of 48 players.
We've also added a new trophy, a Best Newcomer award to go to the best placed player after round 6 who is attending PK&Q for the 1st time.Blitzwing - Mar 30, 2009 - 03:43 AM Post subject:
For those staying out Saturday evening during PK&Q, close to the venue there is the O2 centre, a kind of leisure complex with a decent range of places to eat. Including A Burger bar, Nandos Chicken, Yo Sushi, Wetherspoons, Chinese, Italian and Mediterranean restaurants.
Was thinking we be good to book somewhere so those of us eating out so we can all get a meal together. Maybe one of these places???
Fine Burger Co. at around £10 per main course Menu
Zizzi at around £10 per main course Menu
Nando's at around £10 per main course Menu
Alternately instead of booking anything people can just turn up and choose whatever takes their fancy. What do people think?
After eating we can stay in the O2 centre and grab some drinks at Wetherspoons or Walkabout.Lycos - Apr 20, 2009 - 04:57 AM Post subject:
