Hit him! Ensure that any time he follows up you are able to block him with another player.

Also he's MA6 across the board, keep the play spread out (kick deep & make him move the ball) so your GRs can put pressure on the back field.

Speed Speed Speed. Especially if you have 4 gutter runners. He can't cover them all. Yes it leaves you strength deficient, but it's so much easier to score. Skeven do so much better if they concentrate on Score first before beating up on people.

My favorite tactic is to put all 4 gutter runners on his side of the board. All spread out. No matter what happens you have some type of pass/handoff play for next turn. Of couse luck plays a part, but you will get the idea.

I agree...score first and bash later. And they are a bit easier to bash since they have the same armor as you...although getting around all that Block is a pain...

Use Chaos Dwarves Wink

But if you insist on being rats, then use your speed like everyone is recommending. They all have block, so that's a strike against you. Try to target his blitzers and throwers with your RO when you can.

Don't put the RO on the line against them unless you have block and they DONT have guard.

I keep my RO back to get the catchers that get through the line. Works well, as it allows my team to fully function rather than let the Wild Animal dictate all my play.

beware for guard indeed.
This is what I meant. Keep him at the back first and get him to kill off lone wanderers later

Avoid a head to head fight, it's the safest way! Set up just 3 line rats on the line of scrimmage and then after that avoid base to base contact for a couple of turns while ganging up on about 2 or three of his team and giving those unfortunates a thorough kicking! When you have whittled down his ranks a bit you can concentrate of speeding up the pitch with the ball, a task made childs play because you now outnumber the enemy....

(trust me, it works)

I say just burn em with speed. The Norse won't be able to catch up with you if you really pour it on. Only throw lots-o-blocks if you feel confident that you can consistently avoid the pow/skull result (lucky dice rolls indeed!). The Norse is limited to a close game of short and quick passes and lots of running. Your speed should make it easier for you to box em in! If you can get past the block problem, you will see that the Norse AV makes them fold in half easily. This is where your Rat Ogre and your storm-vermin come in. These guys are your primary "hitmen" that you can use to shut down your opponents on the physical end. Keep the linemen and gutter runners to just making it hard for the norse blitzers and catchers to navigate by forming lots of TZ for them to run through.

Well the game finished 2-2 but my Norse took a bit of a pummeling thanks to the block/razor sharp claw rat ogre. Apart from that I was fairly happy and my Ogre now has block/pro to help him bash things harder.
Oh, and hello everyone on this board!

Well hello to you too!

All you have to do now is attempt to develope an line-rat...

No-one ever remembers to watch out for linemen (dwarfs/elves/skaven/etc) as then you can really stick the boot in when he is not expecting it. Wink
