What are some of the more broken players of all time?

For my money I say 3rd edition Fungus the Loon (ball and chain fanatic). He cannot be blocked by anyone other than another fanatic. He throws S6 blocks against everyone he moves on. Falling over due to going for it is safer than if he were to pass out. No one can get assists from his blocks.

You seem to be a fan of 3rd Edition and yet to admit to having a list of the "more broken" players.

Time to get yourself an LRB...

I have the LRB 6. I tried to get my LGS to run it but people are still attached to 3rd ed. I also like 3rd edition. It is called BLOODbowl is it not? Smile I was just wondering what people's opinions of star players brokenness in any edition were. What's the nastiest, most brutal (broken) star player of all time?

Now that you've said this twice.

There is plenty of Blood in LRB 6.0. The only reason 3rd is more deadly is because fouling is so broken. The skill combos to deliver deadly punishment via BLOCKING are actually more deadly in LRB 6.0 (due to stacking) and easier to get then they were in 3rd edition.

Also the major change to the Apothecary means that MANY more of those injuries STICK instead of just being weanie butt healed away.

So please stop saying it called BLOODbowl ... because really honestly ... that just doesn't hold up with the playtesting data.

Now if you have foul happy crew that gets their kicks from killing folks on the ground .... then by all means 3rd edition is more bloody.

Yeah we tend to be foul happy, I have to admit.

Of course you do - you play 3rd ed. Once you start fouling you can't stop because its too effective. So games often degenerate into who can get the most fouls in to win.

If you want balance and a much better tactical game (one that isn't dominated by fouling, lucky stat/skill increases and killer teams) then try LRB5/6. If you like your fun but unbalanced 3rd ed keep going - but don't complain about balance!

This thread was never a complaint about balance. It was started to find out what teh most broken player of all time was. Wink

There was a point in time (during 3rd Ed., I believe) when I recall that a team was allowed 4 of the same Star Player. So you could have:

- 4 Count Luthors
- 4 Deeproots
- 4 Htharks

I don't know if that counts, but it gets my vote for "brokenness".
