So I have a few things going on right now: mainly a baby due in 10 days. A large number of non serious family illnesses have prevented more timely posts by me.
I envision this thread being a place where zootsuitjeff and the gang can communicate the things they are working on to the community.
Things such as dates and venue ideas and any images and plans for giveaways etc.
GET EXCITED!

We are having a summit of the organizing committee this weekend at the West Coast Quake (March 17-1
. We are hoping to announce quite a few details fairly soon after that.

More details including cost, rules, and registration dates and info should be coming in the next month or so.

Just a warning, the dates previously announced for the North American Team Championships MAY be changing slightly. Stay tuned for more details.

Phew, that should still be doable. At first I saw May, and thought you guys had changed by afew weeks. Then I remembered it was initially in late April, so only two weeks difference. Location the same?

Yep, location is still the same.

Just checked the official website and facebook page. Looks awesome!
Hopefully european people will take note on how you guys made this fantastic event and plan a future parallel one here. I am very committed with the idea but unfortunately I am barely alone in to push it forward here.
I will thank you as player for promoting and offering this new issue for all us. Be sure is in my plans to come, next time maybe when Spain come out of this economical $h!t... 
BTW, you also demonstrate how much you deserve to host the next WC...

If it makes a difference in your (anyone's) ability to make it out solo vs a team, or if you end up a player or two short of a team, I will be helping assemble some ad-hoc teams (I know at least 1 local that is gunning for a spot), right now with pre-reg folks are still getting more geographically based teams set, and I know a few others looking to fill in a final spot locally still.

The regular registration deadline has been extended through the end of January.
So get on your buddies and get them to commit!
