ROCKET-BOWL V SPECIAL RULES:

EXPERIMENTAL FIREBALL FIELD TESTS
The EF Workshops (the charred building at the back of the main College of Magic campus) has set up a field testing exercise for the Rocket-Bowl V tournament. Most of the Field Test Engineers are students. So the results could be a bit erratic!

-Every time either player rolls "double 1" on an injury roll an experimental fireball is hurled from a nearby Experimental Fireball Lab!

-In which case immediately place a token in the centre square of the line of scrimmage of the coach who rolled the injury. Scatter the token D6 squares in a random direction using the scatter template. Explode the fireball (as per wizard rules) with the token as the centre square.

-It is only a turnover if the ball carrier is knocked down, but not if any other player is knocked down. Otherwise the active coach may continue his turn and any players who may have been part way through an action e.g. a blitz move may continue their action (assuming they are able after the fireball has been resolved!)

-If the injury roll which caused the fireball was associated with a turnover (e.g. turn-ending failed dodge or GFI), the opponent's turn does not start until after the fireball has been resolved.

-any player knocked down during his own turn can't take a further action that turn

Currently only 3 people on the sign up and time is ticking down...so I'm going to see what numbers we have on Tuesday and decide a cancel or not and refund those that had paid.

I have decided to cancel this years Rocket Bowl. I'm sorry for the three that had paid, but with such low numbers it wouldn't be worthwhile. The three that paid will receive their refunds later tonight.
Hopefully see the Rocket Bowl return.
With the cancellation, I shall concerntrate on drumming up interest for the Fling-Fest.

Sorry to see this, the effort of organising a tournament deserves support.

I was looking to go for the first time as I had heard only good things about previous years.
