In the end there can be only one, and with the closing ceremonies of Dagger Bowl VIII completed, a new champion was crowned. There were some intense hard fought matches, and it came down to the last few plays of the tournament to decide the winner. Congratulations and felicitations to Christian Despres and his Ogres The Hungry Machine for continuing to put his opponents through the meat grinder and leave no one left alive on his way to victory.

Final standings to follow.

Thank you to all that came out. Hope to see everyone at the Canadian Open in two weeks.

So Hickling is now Mark Leclerc and no Halflings were played in this tournament?? Works for me haha...stupid halflings at least I was able to pull a Halfling like tactic this time and prevent the winning TD with only 1 player left on the field against his 10!!! Razz Don't forget to remind natsirtm what that is like in 2 weeks at the Canadian Open lol.

Thanks for hosting Dwarfrunner, it was a very fun tournament as always, it might have been possible to win the tournament if I didn't have 1 of 13 players on the field at the end of 2 of my games Question Question

That kick-off table is insane and can wreak havoc on any teams plans though...especially when they have 6 monsters on their team! Wink

See you all at a tournament soon

Oh yeah, we had a conversation about interception opportunity determination during game two I think (it was during a game between Manu and Mark Leclrec Wink ) anyway, I was on the Luccini Blood Bowl Federation website reading about the World Cup and saw they have a great download links section. It includes a PDF of how to determine who can intercept based on the position of the thrower and catcher, it is called "intercept table"

http://worldcup.luccini.it/download.htm

I think Stimme has an APP for that but this is good for all of us paper people and it is good to be able to compare multiple options side by side.
