Converting - Looking for a big left Ogre arm!

Post subject: Looking for a big left Ogre arm!
I've purchase the new Mordheim Pit Fighter Ogre and plan to convert him for Bloodbowl. Problem is the left arm is holding a big spiky club that runs along the arm up to the elbow...meaning it's not just a simple case of cutting the weapon off.

Can anyone think of a suitable left arm for this dude Question

My preference would be for one without a weapon, or with a weapon easy to remove..

The left arm? Why not swap it with an Ogryn's arm - although it may be too short (Ogryns are quite tiny compared to Ogres). Golgfag's Ogres have big arms but the hands are waaaay too big compared to those of the Pit Fighter Ogre... I'd go for a Golgfag's Ogre's arm with a hand from, say, a plastic BloodBowl Black Orc...

The Ogryn's look like an ok size to me, there is one who's arm looks perfect - no weapon and up in air with a clenched fist. I guess I'll have to go to GW to check size of his arm/hand! I think a Black Orcs hand would be too small. Thanks for the tip!!

Check out the other Mordheim Ogre as well, it might be a bit closer in size.

Maybe the arm of a Goliath from Necromunda would do the trick.

That arm is part of the whole body, but his fist is indeed the right size (and so is the rest of the arm I guess)...
Succes!

Martijn

(By the way, the other Mordheim Ogre has his arm bent towards the right, on the pit fighter Ogre that would look like he's doing a waltz Wink)

There aren't enough Ogres anyway IMHO Wink
It's time GW produced a nice plastic regiment set containing 12 Ogres + command, THAT would be something! Mr. Green

(Ooops... the image of an Ogre cheerleader came into my brain... Aaaargh!)

I don't really know you personally but I can say that that's probably a fair assessment. Wink

I'm totally mesmerized by your Orc honey. The Trolls need some support, or maybe lack of... know what I mean? Mr. Green

Just to let you guy's know, the Ogre BB players are now available from GW (with little hooplah). The US Site has all the bits including some cool workable arms!

Be careful though, the BB Ogres are a bigger than their Warhammer cousins.

Spree,

I'm using the same guy I think. With the cool faceplate? I just cut in as close as I could with a good pair of snips (impossible to do with a linesmen pliers) and then filed and shaped what I couldn't get out... Worked out OK for me. Twisted Evil

Yep, same ogre, faceplate and his armour in general looks very cool.

I've considered cutting the club off but it still leaves his hand in an awkward looking position. I've bought a new ogre and although the arms are quite chunky they don't look out of proportion on the mordheim pit fighter ogre.

Next time I order from OS I'll be sure to get one of the arm sprues. Only I don't think they offer the individual bits on the UK shopping site, only the US site...and I think US postage rates are more expensive...ah well..such is life!
