Oki, no pun this time
A snot can be stoical too! Colin - Aug 11, 2003 - 05:21 PM Post subject:
Where did you get the snotling for that conversion?? Looks great BTW.Deathwing - Aug 11, 2003 - 05:23 PM Post subject:
Cool as **** mate, even better than the sneak preview I got to see the other day! Bring him over to Cambridge..Grasshopper - Aug 11, 2003 - 05:27 PM Post subject:
That is the best looking Frank I've seen, and I'm counting Boris and Young Frakenstein.
Does Frank have throw teammate? LouisX - Aug 11, 2003 - 05:38 PM Post subject:
I think he should! that's why he's training
The snotling is from BB range. I just cut the underpiece, then the leg and the foot fingers to stick on the hand. But that eats a bit of the index : /
The hardest part were the eyes and painting the hair. But i'm happy with the lining on the face. That gives him a more angry look.
For the colors, i wanted to have shiny color but with a passed out taste. I'm fed up of Undead only in dark or gey colours. But a friend of mine told me he was looking like Michael Jackson in Billie Jean! Same danscing trick! Deathwing - Aug 11, 2003 - 05:46 PM Post subject:

Boris? Heresy or Karloff?
Louis: The more I look, the better he is, and he's just soooo far away from my painting style/technique...
Looking forward to a closer look and a chat, I'm sure I'm gonna learn something different...LouisX - Aug 11, 2003 - 06:24 PM Post subject:
Will you bring your zon's?!? ^^
I've made him for a clash against another painter. But they don't seem convinced :-/
The other question is: should i make him nails? they're not there but it seems good...?
Next on the list are my orcs, the new elves and my lizzards. Nearly nothing Indigo - Aug 12, 2003 - 02:06 AM Post subject:

I need to practice painting more...Tutenkharnage - Aug 12, 2003 - 06:40 AM Post subject:

And I almost forgot... He makes a much better Avatar. AnthonyTBBF - Aug 12, 2003 - 07:56 AM Post subject:
That kicks ass. Well done!
Frankie is such a cool model too, I'm gonna have to hunt one down.LouisX - Aug 12, 2003 - 08:53 AM Post subject:
I told you i was doing a clash with another painter. The crowd decided that the other one was better...
Here it is
So what do you think? I know the pic is bad and large. But i'm questionning myself now
@ Grasshopper: What do you mean? Mordredd - Aug 12, 2003 - 09:24 AM Post subject:
LouisX, yours is a lot more cartoonish, but is clearly the better paint job. He should have lost just for those silly crystals on the base. Khankill - Aug 12, 2003 - 09:32 AM Post subject:
Wow, I like several things about your model better(eyes, shoes, skin tone). I can't be sure what the judges were looking for, but you would have gotten my vote. The fingernails were the only area that I like the other better.Grasshopper - Aug 12, 2003 - 09:57 AM Post subject:
All that AND, at least you're giving a reason for that arm to be sticking out at 90 degrees. Tutenkharnage - Aug 12, 2003 - 11:45 AM Post subject:
I think he's got you on the eyes (lack of pupils makes him look 'deader') and the fingernails. But that's it as far as I can see.
I think you should have painted him holding a guitar

I agree on your idea but not totally Frank isn't a real undead (is he? :lo:) I think that giving him pupils gives him much more character.
But i agree it's about what people think of undeads. For them, they should be grim and grey with no color. I disagree with that. It's my point of view but they're BB players no ?!? Do you think thousands of people will go and see a team where all the players look the same?
Thanx all for your compliments i'm looking in your comments a way to improve that. But i must say i love the billie jean look! Grasshopper - Aug 13, 2003 - 08:21 AM Post subject:
Well for the full Billy Jean, you could shift his right hand a little more so he's actually grabbing himself. Khankill - Aug 13, 2003 - 10:44 AM Post subject:
