what do you think about this team list:

NIPPONESE TEAMS

3 Ninjas 8 3 4 7 Leap, Jump up 90 k
4 Samurai 7 3 3 9 Block 90 k

1 Monk 8 3 4 7 Dodge, Leap, Jump up 100 k
Re rolls: 70 k.

everybody can take general skills, the ninjas and monks also agility skills, and the samurais and sumos strenght skills.

Definitely unbalanced. No question whatsoever in my mind based on real world playtesting of the Nipponese roster.

The MBBL2 has had several Nipponese teams in its league in the last 2 years and we've trimmed it back twice to acheive balance for the team. We fianlly have one that is pretty balanced.

0-12 Ashigura 6/3/3/8 50k GEN
0-4 Samauri 6/3/3/9 80k Block, Honorable GEN/ST
0-2 Ninja 8/3/4/7 110k Dodge, Shadow, Side Step GEN/AG
0-2 Sumo 4/4/2/8 120k Push, Dauntless, Stand Firm GEN/ST
60k rerolls
No access at all to any Big Guy players

Honorable: This player may never foul or assist in a foul action. Although this is a Negative skill, it may not be removed on a doubles roll for the Star Player Roll.

Push: When the player rolls a push back result (including Pow/Dodge when the opponent can use Dodge), he may chose to push the blocked player back one additional square in the same direction as the first square the opponent is pushed to. The pusher can still only follow up one square. Push may not be used against a player with Stand Firm or Side Step. For a player to be pushed back two squares, both squares must be empty and in a direct line behind the player. If the 2nd square in a straight line would push the opponent into the crowd, then push back the opponent one square and apply normal blocking pushback rules to the 2nd square of the push.

===============================================

Bud's comment about ST 4 and AG 4 on the same team is usually 100% correct. However we found by only allowing the team 2 of each. Having both the costs of those players be over 100k, and not allowing the team a Big Guy player that the team stays balanced.

If you don't like Honorable ... drop it. If you don't like Push, replace it with Frenzy.

===============================================

Your other choice is the one used by the Lustrian league:

0-12 Bushi 50k 6/3/3/8 GEN
0-4 Samurai 90k 7/3/3/8 Block GEN/ST
0-4 Sumo 80k 5/3/3/9 Stand Firm GEN/ST
0-2 Ninja 100k 8/3/3/7 Dodge, Leap, Jump Up GEN/AG
50k Rerolls

===============================================

The problem is that you've taken the Lustrian roster and the MBBL2 roster and combined the best elements from both than made sure you had four each of ST 4 and AG 4 .... that team you proposed will crush any LRB league.

0-12 bushis 6 3 3 8 60k
0-2 ninjas 7 3 3 7 jump up 80 k
0-4 samurais 6 3 3 8 block 90 k
0-4 sumos 3 4 3 9 S. Firm, Dauntless 100 k

I personally like this:

      Code:

0-12 Lineman 50K 6338 None             (Gen only)
0-2  Ninja  110K 8347 Dodge, Shadowing (Gen, Agil)
0-4  Samurai 80K 6339 Block            (Gen, Str)
0-2  Sumo    80K 5428 None             (Gen, Str)

I agree with those who think the Ninja and Sumo need to be limited to 2 players apiece. I think the Ninja is a bit overdescribed with Side Step added - I understand the spirit, but I think Dodge and Agility skill access address this. The Sumo is also a bit over the top - maybe MA 4 and Stand Firm, but a "Human BOB" fits the bill equally well.

My two cents. Like Tom, I think the positions and skills can be tweaked to suit the league, but the general idea remains the same.

to be honest, my problem is that I have lots of figures (Thanks to mister Phil Bowen!) and I want to use all them.

IMO you cant mix ST4 and AG 4 players, the team will have no weakness.

You dont see any official teams with that sort of mix, and Vamps although experimental have a negative aspect to them.

The only suprise would be if this team didn't win every tournament available
