I know it must have been addressed a zillion times, but here it is again...

GD
XHB

G= Guard lineman
D= Death Roller
H= Hobgoblin
B= Bull Centaur
X= Empty square

I am playing the Chaos dwarves, so I have ST 7. Now, does the Death Roller blitzing rolls two dice against the Hobbo and 1 against the BC or two dice, same result for both my guys ?

Thanks !

Here's an excert from the LRB page 36:

"The strengths are added together and both suffer the effects of the block equally. Both sides may use assists normaly"

From your little sketch there, the Death Roller has a ST 7 with 1 assist becuaseof guard giving him ST 8 for the block. He is making the multi block against a Bull Centaur ST 4 and a Hobgoblin ST 3 (total of ST 7). So it would be 2 dice in favor of the Death Roller. The result effecting both the Bull Centaur and Hobgoblin.

hmm i always thought that the part of multiblock that said the opposing players must be next to each other didn't work if they were diagonally next to each other but i guess it does ;]

Why wouldn't it? It doesn't say next to; it says adjacent. And if your in any one of the opposing players tackle zones you are adjacent.

The deathroller recieves assists even if only ONE of the 2 Multiblock victims is in the assisters tackle zone.

For the block result, you roll ONCE (unless you use a reroll). They both suffer the chosen effect of the block dice. You dont roll for each victim.

The Deathroller may multiblock any opponents within it's 8 adjacent squares That are adjacent to each other.

So as far as I read it, it is as following.

DD
_A

D=defender
A= Attacker

D have both 3 in strength, and the Attacker should therefor block against St 6. What happens if the attacker has Dauntless?

Does he have St 6 if he makes the "cut"?

And what about the following:

DD
_AL

L is a lineman of the Attackers team, again with dauntless the A would he then have a St of 7 if he makes his Dauntless roll?

As far as a get it nothing changes with if the defender has Guard.

But is Multiple block, and Dauntless a combination that is allowed?

When it comes to an attacker's assists, Guard affects the following situation:

      Code:
AG
dd

In this case, Player G is allowed to assist if he has Guard; if he does not, he can't assist. In the example that begins this thread, the player doesn't need Guard - he can assist normally even without it.

(Guard is also useful if the assisting player is in the TZs of players other than those targeted by the Multiple Block, of course.)

I think that you can combine Multiple Block and Dauntless: the two defenders become "one", you then roll Dauntless against that ST score.
