Europe - Carnage II tournament - first notice

Post subject: Carnage II tournament - first notice
Once again I plan to host a Carnage tournament and I've started planning. Personal circumstances mean it may or may not be in Cambridge (depends on the wife's new job) but I've already got things in mind to make it bigger & better than last year's event.

Just to get a rough idea, if you are interested in coming can you leave a vote. If you're not interested or definitely can't come then don't bother voting Wink

The date will again be sometime toward the end of September and I hope to have another exclusive free gift for all competitors as well as plenty of prizes etc. I'm also going to try to have full size tables for everyone - no hobbit sized ones this year Very Happy

Definitely possible that i will come and actually play this year.

Just to let you know we plan Mannheim Massacre again either August 28/29 or Sept. 4/5, just checking the availiability of the venue.

I am tentatively planning C2 for 25th/26th Sept, possibly even first weekend in October. Should be plenty of time between the two.

But in September, it will probably be difficult for me this year... Sad
Too far for the moment...

well I found a great venue for it near my house but came back after the weekend and they've ripped it down.

The local hall with catering and a bar is over £40 an hour. Far too expensive. Might be another church hall event, assuming I can find one that a) isn't methodist (no alcohol on pain of death) and b) comes with it's own supply of munchkin-sized chairs Very Happy

Ahhh, memories, though of what I can't imagine - I was too worked up with playing my first tourney to notice the little chairs!

I liked the idea of sitting on the floor - brought the table to just the right height - I think I did that in my 4th game.....

Anyway, as Raven said - Count us in - we may even bring more fooder for you great guys to squish!

Chris, if your reading this - your mine! MWAHHHAHAHAHAHAHA Twisted Evil

Dwarves rock, oh yes Dwarves rock (actually they smell like rock, and sometimes even chew it for fun, but then they are strange....)

Gold Gold Beer Gold Gold Beer Beer Gold Beer Beer Gold (repeat, then repeat some more, then maybe a bit more) (after that repeat a few more time then repeat the repeating) (getting the point yet?)

I'm a possible.

Won't be bringing the rats though.

They need a rest, besides they don't like Cambridge very much.

I like the end of september idea. And the lack of chairs don't bother me. less distance to fall!! Pow Pow Pow

well it's still the issue of finding a place to hold it, although if it does go ahead it's 99% likely to be somewhere in London since we've moved now.

Hopefully I should hear something by next week...

Quick update - I'm viewing a hall tomorrow and if it's any good I should be announcing the tourney the same day. It's in a great location in london (easy to get to for most) and it'll be on 25th/26th September. Capacity could be up to as many as 70 too Very Happy

There's even a vague chance I'll be able to sort out discounted accomodation and some kind of refreshments. I've already checked they allow beers in the rooms too Laughing

last but not least, rumour has it that all the chairs are adult sized, but sadly there will NOT be a jumble sale this year so bring your own barbie dolls.
CyberHare - Jul 07, 2004 - 05:31 AM
Post subject:
I don't even want to know why you all needed/wanted barbie dolls.

It's good to hear though that the tourney is loking good to go.
