Post subject: Will there be a Spike?

The closer we get to the date, the more it looks like there won't be a Spike! at all. Still no news and it's just a little over one month away. You're supposed to register the tournament to the NAF at least 2 months in advance, and for good reason.

If the tournament info doesn't come out in the next week, i think i'll have to give up on it altogether. The more time it takes to post it, the more coaches you're losing. At some point, there won't be enough coaches left to make it interesting.

Get your act together guys!

Here's what I know:

a. the rules pack is complete and ready for distribution;

b. Canada Direct Sales has said the tickets go on sale in about ten days

I believe this is going to happen and I have booked plane and hotel. I agree wholeheartedly that things have been left very late but I also believe this is going to be better than the Chaos Cup so I'm in. If nothing else, it's a weekend in Toronto to play blood bowl with friends in a bar somewhere...! Very Happy

I'll see you both at the GenCon! I'm not in the top 15 in Canada (actually I'm in the bottom 15), (ok I'm dead last!) but I'll still be there & maybe I'll beat someone, maybe even one of the best 15 in the US!

Clan Skaven is not the worst coach in Canada. Shocked

In the 2 end of season tournies the NFBBL has had, the Spike and Dungeon Bowl, Clan-Skaven has played in the Final. Worship

Both times on the "short end of the stick". (ie he lost)

Once to myself, and now to an Unranked NAF member.

But the Rats put up a good fight. Crying or Very sad

Actually Brian ... Phillip Yellot ... the kid that took last place last year is already comfirmed that he is coming back ... so you might get a chance for a Grudge match against him ... Very Happy

He's bringing the Undead this year instead of Dark Elves (if memory serves that what he played last year).

And no grudge match between gken and OMM ... gken had to bail on GenCon as his ride ditched him ... grrrrrrrr.
