Ok, I know this may sound stupid, but I never attended this event before (or a tourney held during a Con), I presume I would have to register for the Con to get into the BB tourney, but do I also have to register for the BB tourney as well (and if so, do I have to pay a fee for both or does the GenCon fee cover the BB tourney)?

Post subject:
yes to both questions. GenCon is a 4 day con, but you can buy a badge just for Friday and Saturday (when the Tourney is). It's a great con, and I'd recommend going all 4 days if you can..there is alot to see and do..even if you just go by the 'Event' hall (a huge dealers room really).
GalakStarscraper - Feb 19, 2005 - 01:22 PM
Post subject:
A pre-registered 4 day badge to GenCon is $60 USD ... if you just want to register for Friday and Saturday of the tournament the badge cost is $46 if you pre-register. And really I cannot stress enough how important it will be to pre-register for the Con and the Tournament. Unless you are coming down for the events on Thursday and getting your badge onsite that Thursday evening, I doubt there will be time to get a badge onsite Friday morning and still make the tournament. You can try it but it might be taking a definite risk. At a minimum if you are going to get an onsite badge instead of pre-registering ... go over the night before when you arrive and get a badge for Friday and Saturday on Thursday night which is allowed and actually should allow you to avoid the lines.

The Blood Bowl tournament costs an additional $12.50 to play in. GenCon takes $7.50 of this as a space charge ($1.50 per a 2 hour game played) and the other $5.00 goes to help cover the cost of the trophies, prizes, photocopies, etc. (Just as a footnote, the GenCon Bowl normally costs me about $300 a year to run above the $5 a head I get to help out with my costs ... just in case you were wondering ... and this year I need to pay for JJ's plane ticket on top of my normal expenses).

And Torg ... I think I don't you are correct that this is new to you. You used to go the Underworld Cup that John ran right. Well it was the same thing ... you had a fee to register for U-Con and then there was a entry fee for John's Blood Bowl tournament. So this is the same exact structure ... just on a scale about 100 times larger for the Con. U-Con had about 20 dealers ... GenCon has about 250.

Are you running that little tourney of yours again this year Wink

SIGH....I suppose I could get my butt down to Indiana again this year to save your event Tom... but these massive gaming conventions with no wife or kids for 5 days are really starting to take a toll. Mr. Green

Seriously though I wouldn't miss it and I will once again gladly be your lowly whipping boy. Now do I bring the tried and true Amazons or do I break out the Ogres and cause some undue pain as the odd man out. Decissions decissions....

Retract all those statements then ... mistaken identity.

Oh and CyberHare ... look forward to seeing you again.

I have been getting some *convincing* from my mates at The Challenge of Q'ermitt to go to this tourney (CyberHare, etc.). Since I LOVE football, and I am a HUGE Buffalo Bills fan (paint colours of my human team), I said that I would consider going IF there was a pre-season game at the Indy stadium that weekend -- ESPECIALLY if it was the Bills! (What would be the million to one chance...?)

I checked the NFL site (the REAL one, boys!) and the Bills DO play Indy at their stadium.... just not THAT weekend! Sad

However, there is a Chicago game...!...

Don't play with a hangover. Just do what I do and don't sober up. Sure, you're tired but the games aren't all that exciting anyway. Nap while your opponent is taking 10 minutes to move his first guy and you'll be all charged back up for that evening.

Works for me.

Hi,

This year will be my first trip to Gen Con Indy. I'd love to get into a tournament. Hopefully, I'll be able to get my Living Greyhawk fix and my blood bowl fix. I joined the NAF in the hopes of finding a chance to get into a league and/or tournament near my hometown.

Not that I expect I'd do all that well at my first tournament, especially if it's at such a large con. Smile

Cordially,

Last year at the GEN CON I play this kid, & after he rolls a 12 in the kick off, I yell with excitement "Yes a Pitch Invasion!" (Old kick off rules) I was excited because I had the higher FF & I was hoping to even the score as I was at the time losing.

It was his reply to my excitement that I was dumbfounded by, "What's a Pitch Invasion?" Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Shocked Confused Crying or Very sad

I can understand not knowing the most updating rules changes such as things like WA or the new Kick Off table. But to not even know what a basic rule was? I don't know maybe I'm wrong to say this, but if you do not have a fairly strong grasp on the rules, than maybe tourney play is not for that person.

Nothing is more frustrating than not only playing against such an apponent that you also have to babysit them as well with rule regulations and such.

Am I alone with this opinion?

Rod.

That's easy, it's when the hordes of Goblins storm the field to even things up for our heroes. Laughing I tend to refer to this as an invasion by the 21st SS Panzer Division.

Now that's a true cynic view Snots. LRB 4.0 didn't change that much that would effect your game other than the Kick-off table and just make sure you have a new print-out of only that page of the LRB 4.0 with you and you'll have insurance on this.

All the other changes by and large affected skill selection and that's something that I have to deal with between rounds.

Gencon is about soooooooo much more than BB. Don't get me wrong, after all I do drive 16 hours to be the odd man out for the tourney. But the dealer room alone is bigger in square footage than the football stadium. As Martha Stewart would say, "It's a good thing".

Who Hoo!

I'm going to make it to GenCon for the first time ever!

I was a little hesitant to attend another Galak tourny after what happened in South Bend. After playing the best blood bowl of my life I lost the most casualties trophy on some obscure technicality that I still don't quite understand.

Galak was sayin' something about casualties against not countin' but I wasn't really listening anyway...

Looking forward to maintaining my tradition of playing the best zero elf defense in the NAF.

I noticed that someone had made the offer of playing for pints. I think I'm going to need to bring more moolah.

Xtreme lookin' forward to seeing you again, this time in your hometown. I don't think Absent or Majortusk are goind to make it, but I'll be representing Madison, albeit poorly.

Looking forward to playing everyone and remember anyone who plays an AV 7 squad is someone you need to buy a round for!

Good tournament ... 53 players ended up playing ... a nice turn out.

Darthoir won Best Sportsman again ... and Xtreme won Best Painted again.

Wolfgang however did not win the tournament for the 3rd time in a row. He met in the final (5th) game the only player who had never lost a game after playing the last 3 years of GenCon .... my brother, Dennis.

Wolfgang's record at GenCon at that point was (10/0/1 W/T/L) ... TDs for/against (27-3)
Dennis's record at GenCon at that point was (8/4/0 W/T/L) ... TDs for/against (26-10)

A very tight game ... first half was grueling. Back and forth see-saw with neither team gaining the advantage. Late in the first half, the ball comes lose and bounces to Dennis's Kroxigor ... who roll a 6 to grab it ... and he's only 5 squares from the endzone. Wolfgang proceeds to surround the Kroxigor. Dennis tries to free him up ... but to no available. Wolfgang finally manages to knock down the Kroxigor ... but an Injury Time roll on the opening kickoff that took off one turn left Wolfgang with not enough time to finish a scoring drive.

Second Half ... Wolfgang has eliminated all but one of Dennis's Skinks so Dennis is fielding only 8 players and Wolfgang's Amazons are fielding 10. Dennis covers Wolfgang well and forces Wolfgang to a running game instead of a passing one. Eventually Dennis opens a whole big enough for his Tackle Saurus to get a blitz at the Amazon ball carriers and knock her down in Wolfgang's back field. The ball scatters to a Saurus who rolls the 6 to catch it ... he's 3 squares from the end zone and hasn't moved yet ... Dennis chooses to forego any 2 dice blocks on the 'zons to get the score ... 1-0 Dennis. Dennis has taken out 4 more Zons during his drive and 2 Skinks recover from KO, so its 10 Lizardmen vs 6 Amazons. Wolfgang has 3 turns to score the equalizer, he stages a quick pentration running drive and looks like he might be able to pull off the tie. Dennis has really only one chance of stopping the scoring drive. He covers the other Amazons with his superior numbers and has the Kroxigor blitz the ball carrier ... (Bonehead, GFI, GFI, 2 dice block for a Push) ... this moves the ball carrier into a position with the Kroxigor's Prehensile Tail and covering Saurus that means Wolfgang would need a 6+ to dodge the ball carrier to the tying run with 2 rolls (Dodge re-roll). Wolfgang cannot pull off the magic 6 and Dennis manages to take the title of GenCon champion after Wolfgang's 2 year run as Champion.

Now Wolfgang is getting married right before GenCon next year and will be on his honeymoon so he will not be returning next year .... Dennis might not be able to make it as well. So I hope to see a similar sized crowd next year.

Finally ... meeting JJ was great. He gave a very frank and honest Q&A sessions with no BS that I detected based on what I know from other GW-UK contacts I have. It was refreshing when he started the discussion with "I'll not dodge the fact that this has not been a great last year for Specialist Games".

I'm hoping to post more of his discussion points ... but one of the main one's was that GW is considering (PLEASE NOTE ... considering ... not currently creating) a new division of GW that would deal with just GW board games (ie Blood Bowl, Space Hulk, Talisiman, HeroQuest, and hopefully some new products). This was one of the possible ways that Blood Bowl might get more attention and budget money than it currently receives.

The other big surprise ... Blood Bowl is NOT the biggest money maker for Specialist games currently ... its 2nd to Inquistor. That was one of those facts that made me realize how Blood Bowl fits into the overall accounting of GW.

More to follow ... but that's the key stuff for now.

well I made it to GenCon after all Smile

but had one of the worst run of games at tourney play. 3 wins and 2 ties with humans finished tied for fourth on game points with xtreme

I went 5 for 18 on KO rolls and was constantly playing down with players.

My thrower completed 2 of 3 quick passes....I stopped trying to pass after the 1 key failure.

My catchers caught 6 of 10 catch attempts and made 4 of 6 dodges...

so I basically was afraid to do anything with these guys.....

I also got called for time in my first ever tournament game due to the worst opponent I ever played. Worst attitude that is. I went up 2-0 and his good dice and my bad dice let him tie it up but he took so long and also went to take a crap during the game that I only got 6 turns in 2nd half with an attempt to score on turn 7 that was taken away from me.

I really wish I did better in my earlier games to allow me to play the better coaches at Gencon---Wolfgang and Tom's brother.... but my dice failed me and my opponents rolled pretty good. (I don't think any of my opponents failed any GFI's against me......)

I intend to take my frustrations out on Canada at the DEATH BOWL Smile

It was fun to see the TBB crowd though: Galak, Lawquoter, Darthnoir, Torg, Ben, Cyberhare, Karllagerbottom, Jaylazer, OMM, xtreme-----always makes the tournies fun.
Colin - Aug 21, 2005 - 09:51 PM

Yeah, it was great fun, meeting all the people from TBB and this site who I never met before and to see those I met at earlier tournies. The social aspect is why I go to tourneys, I don't really care what my record is in the tourney, winning isn't the important thing. Ken knows Nuffle sucks, but he won't admit it. I wound up playing the kid who called the IP on Snots last year in my last game. I said to him before we started, "we aren't going to call IP in this game" and he agreed, but he did try to foul me twice on the last turn of the game. He seemed really pissed when I told him, "sorry, only allowed one fowl per turn", I'm sure he gave me the lowest sportsmanship points for that (though only Tom could verify this), but I did the same to him (gave him the lowest sportsmanship award)

Anyway, it was great to see Ken, Jim (OMM), Karl Lagerbottom, Ben, Gortek, and Jervis again and great to meet for the first time; Galak, Lawquoter, Xtreme, Darthnoir, Jaylazer, Val (don't know if he's NAF or not), and so many others I can't remember.
It was kinda expensive but a great time. Don't know if I'll be able to afford it next year, but if I can swing it and get the time off, I'll probably be back.
It was a very new experience for me as I never attended a BB tourney at a convention before, completely different atmospher than a stand alone tourney. If I go back next year, I'll definately be doing more things at the Con (when I'm not playing BB).

Did he play Dark Elves. There's a REALLY SLOW DE player out there. R-E-A-L-L-Y S-L-O-W.

He never took a crap on me (not like that Torg you sick-o! Wink ) but I needed 45 second turns for most of the second half just so he could agonize for 5 minutes over whether he was going to pass from this square or do 1 GFI or other trivial such things. Gaaah. I hate opponents like that.

Can't be as bad as a guy I played up in Ottawa. I'd say my turn was done, and he'd stare at the board for 5 minutes. I wasn't even sure if he heard me say my turn was done and was sitting there waiting for me to make another move, I'd remind him, and he'd say "yea, I know."

So, after 6 or 7 minutes of agony, his brilliant tactic that he comes up with... "My lineman will hit your Ogre" with no assists. Skull I think once he actually hit with his Catcher. There is no emoticon that expressed my frustration at this.

Overall, sounds like it was a great tourney. I hope to be able to make it down next year.

No this was a Lizardman coach. And to back up what Ken was saying ... all of his opponent's gave him dead last for sportsmanship ... so it wasn't just Ken who found him not the greatest opponent.

I had a great time, although I was killed by skaven in the first round (NUFFLE and 1 major mistake on my part), coupled with a GREAT Skaven coach spelled doom. I came back to win my next four games in some really close and fun games.
As for the 5 game format, it went really well, and contrary to my first thoughts I was impressed with the times you run it.
Seems to me that only two real problems came up @ GenCon. 1st Slow players (it will happen), there is always a timer guys. And second table arrangements. It seems the BB doesn't receive much respect when tables are handed out. I am unsure if this is because we start Friday or simply bad management on there parts, either way, I will be offering to put in a word with the staff that is controlling the room, when I arrive on Thursday, as it is possible others including Tom may not arrive until Friday, let me know, I have no problem informing them of our numbers and the like, to try to get us all together.
I feel bad for Wolfgang, as I know how it is to be the top dog, and EVERYONE rooting for you to loose, I look forward to my opportunity to play him someday, darn I do have to win the first round for that.
I hadn't really looked over the rules, but with the new rules for Pitch Invasion, I can see a potential return with Elves for me, as I don't have to worry so much about losing so many players on a kickoff.

Anyways, Great Job Tom, I will continue to try to get my teams on the plaque.
And NAF REPs, the dice are way cooler this year, that pinkish color is for the birds.

The one Deathroller was a turn marker only (Ben's team). So there were 5 stars total out of 53 teams ... Zug, Zara, Nobbla, Deathroller, and Hhtark.

GenCon has allowed Star Players for 3 years in a row now. And in all 3 years not a single team with a Star Player has taken home any of the gaming trophies (1st, 2nd, 3rd/MVP, Most CAS, Most TDs, or Fewest TDs allowed). So after 3 years, I honestly believe that Stars aren't broken as long as your rules balance them out. Allowing them into tournaments at the one-off LRB 4.0 price is just fine IMO. I also like allowing Stars because in my opinion it makes the two Stunty teams viable for tournament play.

It was a great tourney. Thanks Tom for running it.

More table space would have been nice. Is there an email address we can write to voice our opinion on not having enough table space. (I know we managed, but packing it in so tight was uncomfortable.)

My one complaint is this: Since all of my opponents were cool, it didn't seem right to give anyone a 3, 4, or 5 for sportsmanship. Next year, can sportsmanship change, so that we can give 3-5 average scores with an optional "really cool" and an optional "really not cool" slot--for those times when it is merited.

Thanks to all of my opponents and another thanks to Tom.

JJ and I discussed this ... the bottom line is that there is no good way I've ever seen to do sportsmanship that accomplish two different things at once.

a) Gives you an accurate representation of how sporting each player was.
b) Removes as much risk as possible of too many points being gained/lost to player's delibrately marking an opponent inaccurately (to get them to win or to lose).

The GenCon method is the best I've found to hit both. Since Sportsmanship is only used for 2 of the trophies ... its impact is not overwhelming. So yeah ... its sucks to give someone who wasn't that bad a 5, but then the system is built so that one 5 most likely won't cost him the tournament. The lowest score is half as well as the highest score (and then rounded up) ... so in effect the lowest score a player receives at MOST will cost them 6 points vs someone who gets all best ratings.

Yeah ... actually Val I owe you a prize for that. We didn't give overlapping trophy awards so since you won Most CAS that meant Marcus's 49 points gave him Best Sportsman.

Next year I'll have a rule that what order trophies will be determined in and that winning a trophy means your results are not eligible for the next in line ... BUT I didn't do that this year and it was my oversight that I forgot to mention your 50 points ... which is my bad.

So I owe you some a pack of mins. I'll PM you and work out what you'd like to have.

Also ... your sportsmanship score was fascinating.

4 1st places and 1 5th:
(14/2)+(14*3)+(2/1)=50 points

I honestly cannot tell from the sheet of the player who gave you a 5th if he was giving you a 5th or got confused and thought he was awarding points (in which case 5 points would be the best). (please note everyone that it says on the bottom of the score sheet that 1 is best and 5 is worst) ... anyway ... yeah you had 50 points.

Its easy ... fill them out AWAY from your opponent and then come back and say "let's go turn in our sheets" and turn them in on the other side of the table ... I just quickly check and it will be away from your opponent.

Whew, home at last and slept like only a tired old man can sleep... which is sorta like a tired young man - you guys just don't creak when you get out of bed...

Wonderful weekend - great to see all the old friends and make some new ones... like Galak, I'm excited about the possibilities for the game come 2006...

Khemri are definitely NOT my cup of tea so I am resolved to finish painting up Skaven...

But as always, the fellowship of friends was the highlight and the "JJ with margarita" pic may have to be a caption contest... glad to see everyone made it home safely

Great job Tom as always... as others have addressed my concerns, nothing left to say but congrats to Dennis, Xtreme, Marcus, Val, and all the other NATF winners (Courtyard rulez!)...

Until the next time...

Hi,

I've had an account here for a while but haven't posted (sort of got out of blood bowl for sheer lack of time for a while.)

Anyway, I played in my first Gencon tourney as well, and it was great to see all these people playing the game and enjoying it. I was running the lone, solitary Nurgle's Rotters team and losing spectacularly (ok, I managed to win 2 games, I guess it could have been worse) but still had a great time anyway. I am curious though why my sportsmanship was so low. I'm hoping it was one of those things where nobody knew me so they gave the edge to people who they were familiar with. Plus, everybody I played against was a great sport, so maybe I just had stiff competition to try and match up against them (I know I had a tough time filling out the card.)

Anyway, I'll probably be around more in the future.

Yeah, I recall playing against you (1st game I believe - and you were granted a victory from my o so slow Khemri) and I didn't think you lacked anything in Sportsmanship what-so-ever, in fact, the game was rather exciting, despite some frustrating moments on both sides (damn dice). I can't speak to your other games, but I had a very enjoyable game with you and the rotters were a very interesting team - one that I had never seen in a tourney before (so a double bonus there). This year was one of the hardest for giving out Sportsmanship awards for me, I liked Jaylazer's/Karl Lagerbottom's system a little better at Philly Phrakus where you rated all players individually, but you were encouraged to give out only 1 'excellent' score. Maybe Jay or Karl(rob) can speak more on how they did theirs.

Its easy ... fill them out AWAY from your opponent and then come back and say "let's go turn in our sheets" and turn them in on the other side of the table ... I just quickly check and it will be away from your opponent.

Galak

This is probably picking nits, but unless you make it "the policy" for how to turn in the final round sheets it's going to be a problem. People are going to want to know "Why don't you want to show me your sportsmanship rankings? Did you ding me?". And that's going to lead to bad feelings imho.

Unfortunately, my last opponent was the one I rated the lowest points. He saw this and it really upset up him. I actually lost sleep over the thought of ruining someone's experience at the tournament by being honest in my rankings.

As a player, I would just prefer that it was policy to have it either turned in on a separate form or some other mechanism to keep this feedback private.

I do understand that no system is perfect (I'm already agonizing over how to handle this for the Kubla-con tournament I'll hopefully run next year).

The way we did it was this:

You rate each opponent on a scale of 1 - 3. I tried to stress that 2 was what was expected. That means the player was as good a sportsman as you expect everyone to be. 1 and 3 are both supposed to be extremes.

We didn't have an limit on the number of 3s or 1s you could give out. I think we will limit it to just one or two 3s. Not sure about the 1s yet. I don't think people give out too many 1s. We'll have to work this out.

Yeah, sportsmanship was a really tough choice for me too. All of my opponents were great to play against. I don't like having to give someone last place on my sportsmanship sheet. I like Jaylazers idea, but many people may still give all of their opponents 2's regardless, which would kind of make the voting pointless. I'm guilty of this in my local 40K league with a similar system (giving most people max scores), but I'm trying to change the way I look at the voting there. I don't know, it's hard to get a sportmanship score that everyone's happy with.

I was happy to see some old faces from 2003 Gencon, 2003 Chaos Cup and this year's Gamecon in South Bend. I even faced Cory again this year. I faced his Dwarfs 2 years ago with my Chaos Dwarfs, and we had the rematch in this year's tourney. Thanks to a last minute '1', I managed to preserve the tie. I was sweating though. Smile

I met some fantastic people for the first time too. Ben (Krieg Spielers), Michael (Iron workers), Bob (Jeremiah's Little Dogs) and Ken (Divnie Wind).

Just like the last Gencon I went to, I had a great time. I can't thank Tom enough for running this every year. I hope to be there again next year and I'll try to bring even more local coaches with me.

My problem is how does this make it any better for what Marcus described unless the player would have received a 2.

Which I guess is what he is saying.

I could go to a system like jay is describing.

You give a 1 to the Most Sporting player.
You give a 2 to a normal player
You give a 3 to poor Sportsman

Each player must award one and only one 1 ... 3s are unlimited.

I might be willing to try that. ... I'll think about it.

Just realized I wasn't clear what a 3 and 1 were.

3 was outstandingly good and 1 was outstandingly bad.

The usual problem with "RATING" systems is that people almost always give max to everyone.

My plan was to only allow people to give max to one person.

I haven't made up my mind whether they should be able to give the bad mark to more than one.

I think that gken1's idea will work pretty much the same as mine. His giving points to the top two is similar to giving max to just one person, since everyone else will have mostly 2s.

I like mine better because it gives the opportunity for bad sportsman to see that and think about why they got marked so low. Not sure if this actually does work but if it helps one person become a better sportsman them I'm happy.

My system doesn't really address Marcus' problem. I did that at my tournament by having the players turn in a sportsmanship form at the end of the tournament. It was completely separate from the game sheets.

Jay, I would say keep it with being allowed to give unlimited 1's to people, odds are it won't often be used anyway (since we are all so nice Wink ), but if you encounter multiple examples of poor sportsmanship, you should be allowed to reflect that. On the other side, the 3 should be reserved for a single person - essentially, who was the most fun, best sportsman person you played in that tourney. Hopefully it will sort itself out.
jaylazer - Aug 23, 2005 - 12:13 PM

That's pretty much what I had in mind.

This should allow you to single out the best Sportsman of the tournament but allow poor sportsmanship to show up.

If I had the option of not having a "least sporting player" decision, I probably would have just given my last opponent at 2 and offered him some advice.

But because I had to "find a problem", my last opponent got ranked last. And to be honest, he was far from being the "least sporting player" I've ever played. It was more of a testament on how sporting my other 4 opponents were.

I'm probably not expressing myself very well at the moment.

Okay ... I'm not against trying this system next year.

You have to pick your favorite opponent out of the 5.. .that coach gets a 3. You may only give one coach a 3.

If you have a poor sportsman coach you can give them a 1.

All other coaches receive 2s.

Programming it will be the pain.

But hopefully a pain that is worth it, in that it will make the scores truly representative rather than, as some one accurately put it above, having to "look for reasons to rank someone as a 5."

I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to tell you how to run your tournament, though, because that is thoroughly not the case.

And to my Khemri opponent (I believe Marcus told me your name was Val? I'm horrible with names) yes, that was far and away the most fun game I had all tourney (though strangely, the game where my opponent nearly ran me out of players on the pitch was also a lot of fun, go figure.) And the Khemri vase you gave me was one of the coolest things that's happened in the time I've been gaming. I'll be working that into some sort of display for one of my teams (unfortunately, I realized during the tourney there's a reason Nurgle teams are rare) some time in the future.

the good sportsmen would still get points they deserve while no one else is really punished except the jackasses.

The question I have now is, what kind of tournament points would we give for this?

With the amount of points for games, giving 5 to 15 points for sportsmanship wont make much of a difference in the final standings.

What do you guys think?
GalakStarscraper - Aug 24, 2005 - 07:16 AM
Post subject:
That's where the programming comes in.

A 3 would be equal to 11 points for the tournament. A 2 would be 6 points, and a 3 would be 1 point. Any drops would be automatic 2s worth 6 points. (this assumes a 5 game tournament which I'm still planning on doing).

That's the tricky part of the programming. But I think I can pull it off ... its one of the things I have to do for my job anyway ... complex spreadsheet creation.

OMM was a blast, as always. Meeting JJ was cool.

Ben was a blast to chill with. Same with gken, minus my role as the tackling dummy. Shocked

Hard to believe it was a week ago I headed out. Time flies.

Other tournies are on the schedule, just have to fit in time.

Definitely going to make it 3 years in a row, and I've got to come up with something that gets Xtreme in the painting contest next year. He breaks out the dugout...I'm breaking out the full blown Gencon Bowl stadium!!!

Yeah I know. I don't really care about winning the contest. It's just fun to be nominated and then to lose to you every year. Razz Laughing I need to come up with a good idea, but seriously, I'll at least try to whip some sort of dug out presentation together like you did, but I definitely want to try to put together a full stadium complete with dugouts and interchangeable pitches (nice, shoddy, muddy for rain, snow for blizzared, etc.). I've got a few designs bouncing around in my head, I need to try to kind of work it out on paper and then go from there. LOT of hirst art on the horizon, I think. Shocked Wink
