are you NAF staff? only reason I ask is I dont recognise the nick, and those types of avatar are generally used by NAF NTOs

No, I'm not, but is that neccessary? I can change back to my old avatar anytime... I just liked the idea of this logo *g*

I'll check but I doubt we're going to enforce a super strict policy unless it conflicts with a future german NTOs

there are no rules on avatars at all, and if there is it would be balls

Looks nice, would be nicer if the white background was transparent but I don't know if that's possible on the board.

Good work anyway Smile

The only problem I can see with it is that it might confuse people, who see Woody's, Ant's, etc. avatars, and think you're a NAF moderator as well.

Nice job though Smile

My original idea (IIRC I was the first one to do one) was that national-themed avatars would help people to recognise the national tournament organisers (NTO's), but it's not a big deal - it's visible in our signatures too, after all.

You can get transparency simply by using a gif-image with a transparent background, btw.

I'm also totally recognisable as the Dutch TO Laughing

I might change it in the future, but Holland is small......... so, there's no need really.

Good grief, it's not rocket science, everything's listed somewhere anyway.

Looks good, stick with it. Hopefully this won't become one of those sites where recluses hide to feel some modicum of power with ritualistic dogmas, we're only here to chat about bloodbowl after all (and waste time during work...)

True true.

I just think that the NAF avatars are better left to the NAF admins, out of respect for the people who bring us this site, and to help out the few noobs that frequent here.

But, it's just my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

Maybe you could subtly alter it to pay homage and not unduly confuse people. Changing "NAF" to "FAN"?

well the official line is that there are no such things as official NAF staff avatars, so anyone is free to use whatever avatars they like. Offensive ones will be removed, however, but we haven't had that problem yet!

Looking at how my boobz have been bobbing up and down this site for the past few weeks, I'd say you'd have to try really hard to have an offensive Avatar Wink
